If Burqa had a video and it was Islam themed it could be problematic nowadays IMO.

Other ones i don't think so.

Am I crazy for wishing that that would have had happened

Alejandro tbh

No, using Christian imagery isn’t as controversial as it used to be. But on the contrary having a music video like Alejandro but using Islamic imagery would have made a HUGE controversy.

I think you’re wrong because she’s consenting, she’s saying I’m a slave 4 U. If 50 Shades isn’t getting dragged Slave 4 U wouldn’t be believe me.

you're reaching

Might be reaching, but I still think there would be feminists dragging her for not empowering woman, supporting the patriarchal rule, or whatever they are standing for(in that case against) :gaycat:

you seem to be a bit paranoid about "feminists" I don't see any feminists dragging cupcakke, camilla Cabello, Rihanna, Beyonce, or numerous pop girls for singing about a sexual encounter with a man in a club lol

if you reach hard with her headdress and the humping her against the flipper table :poot:

Don’t.

Even though I’ve watched the video recently and have noticed the headdress.

I saw this one the other day and instantly thought of it:

More recent ones that would have had much bigger backlash than they did:

Even though Miley had the performance with Robin, the video didn't even touch the backlash that We Can't Stop and Wrecking Ball got. Blurred Lines wasn't even a good video so people would have hated it even more than they did then:awkney:

Blurred Lines literally ruined his career and life, the backlash can't get anymore worse than that lol

Blurred Lines literally propelled internet feminism into the mainstream, i remember it so clearly

So we all know Katy’s mess with Ur so Gay and I kissed a girl. But which videos do you think would cause some trouble if they were released today?

I think it’d be Paparazzi because of all those dead models

I quoted the OP since it seems like you missed that part. Some people believe in culture appropriation, some don't. Learn to deal with people having different opinions.

It was the biggest hit of his career and he'll never get anywhere that success again but I remember at the time that all the backlash was on Miley for everything she did and Gaga for the seashell bra but I do remember him getting some backlash but no where near as much as Miley did even though Miley didn't do anything as bad as that Blurred Lines video:sharon:
