Gaga BARELY did promo for her LEAD SINGLE

Yet promoted MR for an entire year as a second single and randomly released The Cure which wasn't even on the album...

That's a flop...

Versace

Born This Way went number one cause it was GAGA , no matter what she came out with, the lead after a huge era like TFM would smash. Same way LWYMMD by Taylor went number one cause it was coming off 1989. Both BTW and LWYMMD lacked the longevity that let's say Bad Romance and I Knew You were Trouble had cause those songs were actually loved for the content rather than the artist.

We haven't had a huge era that can guarantee LG6's lead to smash hard. Therefore the song itself has to be super catchy, super radio friendly and marketable to the GP. This was seen with Camila's Havana. No one knew the girl, no one was here for her original lead single "Crying in the club", Gaga is way more established than her and so the main reason she got that #1 song comes to people heavily enjoying the song. To conclude, if Gaga comes out with a song that everyone loves and overplays then that's a number one hit in the works.

There's always potential to have a HUGE hit in ones career....or even later on...

Cher-Believe

Madonna-Hung Up

Mariah Carey- Obsessed

So Gaga will get another one I'm sure she just REALLY hasn't been promoting well here in the states the way she did for TF-BTW

ARTPOP and Joanne lacked promo in many key moments in the album eras...

obsessed did well in america and a few other places. It was a hit but it wasn't Huge

I think it belongs under Gaga thoughts ... Haroon is coming for you sis :selena:

OT: yes, 100 %, she just needs to collab with Cardi or Migos, reinvent the trap hop genre or resurrect Dr. Luke from his career's grave.

I mean, Mariah was able to peak again with "We Belong Together" after a few years of a slump. I mean, granted her career in the 90's is much different than Gaga's in the 00's/10's, but it still shows that anything is possible.

3 points in and ready for more

Gagadonna

She can easily if she really want to, but looks like she doesn’t even want to at all.

I think its achievable, but with the help of song writers and hit makers. I think if she really wanted a big hit again she could easily do it, she would just have to sacrifice some artistic integrity to do so.

I think it would be awesome if Gaga signed some deal stating her stuff was not allowed to chart ever, simply so that a large faction of the fanbase would implode and the rest of us could breathe.

PanPikus

Because she's not streaming and radio force, most likely she won't, and I'm ok with it. Longevity is better.
