Same way LWYMMD by Taylor went number one cause it was coming off 1989. Both BTW and LWYMMD lacked the longevity that let's say Bad Romance and I Knew You were Trouble had cause those songs were actually loved for the content rather than the artist. We haven't had a huge era that can guarantee LG6's lead to smash hard. Therefore the song itself has to be super catchy, super radio friendly and marketable to the GP. This was seen with Camila's Havana. No one knew the girl, no one was here for her original lead single "Crying in the club", Gaga is way more established than her and so the main reason she got that #1 song comes to people heavily enjoying the song.
