I actually kind of like it. I feel like Zedd is akin to RedOne in the sense that GaGa's work with him will take elements of generic music and push them to a different place. Pure speculation of course.

I seriously can't believe how Lights managed to become such a huge hit. I always like it but just never expected that it would be embraced as it has. Longest climb ever.

Poor JLO, no one wants her greatest hits.

The last two best-sellersâ€â€Nas’ Def Jam/IDJ album, Life is Good, and Zac Brown Band’s Atlanti9c release Uncaged, #1-2 on this week’s chartâ€â€should vie for the lead on Tuesday’s tally as well.

While yet another Def Jam/IDJ hip-hop biggie, Rick Ross’ new album, God Forgives, I Don’t, is the next major release, coming out on Tuesday (7/31), this week the pickings are relatively slim.

Top new debut should be Mercury/IDJ’s New Jersey neo-Springsteen garage-rockers the Gaslight Anthem with their major label bow, Handwritten, after graduating from L.A. indie SideOneDummy, the band’s fourth studio effort overall. First-week sales estimates from our crack network of retail reporters and numbers-crunchers put the figure at between 30-35k.

Columbia Cambridge, MA, techno-rock duo Passion Pit’s Gossamer, the follow-up to 2009’s debut Manners, is up next, with estimates in the 28-32k area.

Touted RCA Nashville group Love and Theft, the singer/songwriter pair of Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson, will see their eponymous sophomore album do between 12-15k.

Epic’s Jennifer Lopez greatest hits collection, to fulfill her deal with the label, should also do in the 12-15k neighborhood.

Wow....disappointing numbers for her...

Does she even have all that many hits, though? Not being mean, I honestly have no idea.

Flop.

Liiitle early to make that call, considering it's still rising. I heard it on the radio 5 times today. The only songs I heard more were WA and Lights. Considering most people here didn't think Stronger would do great considering it's slow rise (ended up number 1, like I said it would), I'd say it's doing pretty good.

I didn't say that to be rude since I love Kelly, but the single was released months ago. I just don't see it doing well.

It's definitely rising slower than Stronger did and it's sales should be higher in coordination with its AirPlay. Looks at Some Nights and As Long As You Love Me. They have similar AI to Dark Side, no? Edited by Klou

I can see Dark Side becoming a small hit tbh. It keeps slowly creeping up iTunes and radio.

Probably not but I think top 20 probably.

Actually, now that I think about it, she very well may perform it at the VMA's. It should be around the time the song will be peaking, so she could bump it to top 10 with a good performance.

Or maybe since that's going to be over a month from now, she'll promote a 4th single?

If the song has already started to plunge by that point, that will probably happen.
