Why Do People Forget About Gaga's Happiness?

I think you are looking at things sort of skewed. 

 

Saying I want Gaga to release electronic pop music doesn’t mean that I don’t want Gaga to be happy. If Gaga wants to release ten more Joannes (please God no), then she can do that if it makes her happy. Will I connect to the music the same way I did the first three albums? Nope. But if it makes her happy, then go for it. 

A lot of people love Joanne. It’s my least favorite. I personally found her first three albums to be full on, super engaging, well thought out, forces to be reckoned with. Every part of her image, music and visuals SUCKED you in. 

That was not the case for me with Joanne. But if it’s what makes HER happy...that’s all that matters.

To me, her happiness comes way above all else.  It is more important than her music and entertainment.  Gaga is just a person like anyone else, and deserves to have the love, kindness, and compassion she gives to the world to be given to her in return.

Yeah, she has earned her millions and her status in the industry, she can do whatever she wants to do that makes her happy! I'd do that too!

But I don't have to like her work just because she's happy... I'm ok with her being happy, I'm ok with her releasing stuff that doesn't really appeal to me, you are the one who's bothered that I might not like her latest work. I don't hate Gaga for not releasing what I expect from her, I don't think she shouldn't be happy. My life doesn't revolve around her, she's just a musician I follow and care about. I do think that fans who always assume she only thinks of them, that she's more than a popstar, that everything she does is completely honest and true and she's their best friend, are incredibly ignorant.

Songs like Million Reasons and Perfect Illusion don't sound like happiness to me.

And her happiness is her own responsibility, not anyone else's, and especially not the responsibility of users on a fan site. That's pathetic.

Why do you say that was a joke? well, I can meet you halfway, I don't think she was being completely honest. She has different statements for every occasion, and back then she was doing her first major role in television, won a Golden Globe, of course she would emphasize her acting career. You really never know when she's being honest.

 

I spoke my mind wrong though. Of course I understand what chronic pain is and how touring can affect her. And that's kind of my point, it has reached a point when long tours and extensive promotion don't make her happy at all, because the fear of chronic pain will always be there. Remember pre-Joanne when she was sooo happy with her home and her farm and her family? Those were great moments for her. And remember how she released Joanne and the album was just there, no promotion, barely talked about it till the tour, she started shooting ASIB... Fans even noticed she looked off while promoting the lead single.

She seems a lot happier during the process of music making, simply that. And when she releases albums alongside her friends.

 

 

I forgot to mention that I'm the one who thinks Come to Mama should be a single and wants an album full of Come to Mama and Just Another Day... So yeah, tell me how much I don't want to see her happy (this is not for you @ryanripley)

literally look at the way she says "i decided to become a singer instead", it's not a serious statement

she's been talking during her how career about her acting past and attending acting school (watch the monster ball tour dvd)

music does make her happy, she loves to make music and she's had that passion and opinion since day one so it's very hard to say she's lying

Well, it does seem awful to me when people act like Gaga owes them dance pop music, and if she doesn't deliver then they feel entitled to dragging her personally. I don't get it. The jokes about her aunt are disgusting. I also can't relate, since I actually have enjoyed all her albums immensely.

However, I think this fanbase is also very sensitive, and whenever people criticize her music, they are bullied into silence. People should be able to criticize her music freely without being called fake or less of a fan or whatever. As long as they are respectful... We all have different taste in music and we should respect that.

People need to understand Gaga doesn't owe them music, and they don't owe Gaga liking her music either. I see people here trying to force themselves and everyone else to like everything she does 

Personally, I do prefer knowing what she is releasing is what makes her happy and something she feels proud of. It wouldn't be the same if Gaga released an album full of music everyone liked, if we knew she made it just to please people  I like to know the music I'm listening to is something the artist enjoys, and not something created generically to sell more.

I also do want her to be happy in general. She is someone I care for. Even if she is not my friend and I don't really know her, I like to know she is happy.

It matters to me because I like her and appreciate her work, and I have empathy for people I like and appreciate.

Most people see Gaga as a product and act that way.. and they are not wrong at the end.. she is a product.. many times even her "happiness" or "sadness" is used for promo..

Oh yes, we've always known Gaga's interest in acting. Sure she likes what she does, but acting was first. I kind of believe that. And now that she has the chance, I believe she wants to pursue that. Not saying she doesn't like doing music, I never said that, I believe she loves music. Seriously, every answer you read for me clearly states she enjoys doing music.

But where is her heart right now? In my opinion (again, we're only guessing and giving our thoughts as fans and as how we perceive her statements and attitudes) she's happier at home, taking care of her animals, resting, doing more acting roles and yes doing music but in a more relaxing mood, getting together with her friends and doing this and that, sing a few covers once in a while, doing a Vegas residency that doesn't push herself too much, rather than thinking about a full album and releasing it and promote it for months and then do a full tour.

Hum I watched the video and I actually find it a serious statement one thing was out of reach, so yeah let's go the other way
