- Said that Rape jokes were  fine  “I think it’s odd that you can’t joke about rape, when people joke about murder all the time. A lot more people are dying than getting raped. I think it’s a comedian’s job to make everything funny. Nothing is off-limits.”

- Thinks saying slurs about the mentally incapacitated is ok "My sister has mental problems, but I use the word ‘r****d’ in my comedy. Do I love her any less? Would I go up to a mental ward and say: 'You’re idiots’? No. I would never do that, but sometimes saying r****d is funny, it’s a release.”

I don't have a problem with anything he said. He is talented, and there's a difference between knowing and accepting that you are good at something and being arrogant. He is not on a Kanye West level (though Kanye West is also hecka talented)

The trend of mediocre white people becoming more famous than more talented black or non white artists is not new, its easily observable throughout history, its just the truth  And that's clearly what he's talking about throughout this section of the interview if you read the whole thing.

I also just didn't read this as a drag towards Gaga personally. I don't think he meant to say "I'm more talented than she is, why is she getting more attention than me", it's just an anecdote about how some of his contemporaries are way more successful, and accept it or not in the specific case of Gaga, I'm sure some of his contemporaries are less talented, creative, etc. than he is. We like to act like Katy Perry for example is a lesser artist and not deserving of her generally more commercially successful career than Gaga (from like 2012-2017  ) because she's less talented. So clearly, we understand the concept. It just doesn't feel as good reversed. The point is not specifically about her though. Race issues aside, the industry has never truly professed to reward talent over audience, commercialism, etc. He knows this, but it still stings?

The Grammy drag however is actually one, and rightfully deserved. He calls himself one of the hotter acts, that's fine, he is compared to some other artists that may have been asked to perform. (This one is a bit more arrogant sounding to me, but not a big deal still). But they (CBS) don't even show HIS face on the promo ad, its some fan that maybe looks like him? But he has to perform, because his personal feelings <<< cultural impact as a marginalized identity. That's just shitty.

Childish Gambino is legit. But he's not some revolutionary artist like Gaga. All of his latest album sounded like Prince rip-offs. He also sounds horrible live.

Childish Gambino is talented, no question ... But I'd hardly put Gaga in the "mediocre white person" category.  Gaga is one of those VERY few modern acts, in my opinion, where I watch her live and think, "Yup.  It's easy to see how she got so famous.  She's a full package of talent, showmanship, entertainment, and glamour." To this day, I STILL wouldn't call myself a fan of pop music in general ... But Gaga has that "it" factor for me that has made me a fan for this past decade.

It is just plain weird how SO many celebrities take these random-ass pot shots at Lady Gaga all of the time. And, to be honest, it's boring and tiresome.
