Disco Will Be The Next HUGE Genre

but but but I've been listening to people saying that disco is the next big thing since 2014/2015 when Gaga released "I want your love" and everybody said LG5 would be all disco. 

get your facts straight. I would be sooo here for a disco moment in pop music tho

There was only that one album by Daft Punk and it was hardly disco. Pharrels album flopped. That whole 2013 disco phase was manufactured EDM with disco touches to appeal to conservative voters (who generally don’t dance) to get a Grammy for Daft Punk, and it worked.

After Get Lucky, everyone was releasing late 70s disco inspired songs. EDM was not the main genre, and that is why ARTPOP released in late 2013 was considered having a sound too dated. EDM was big in 2012 , with Calvin Harris and Zedd (who Gaga called to work in her album), but by mid 2013 it was practically over.

And Random Access Memories is very, very disco. 

Anyway, tropical pop house was a huge trend and unlike the latest trends. The last big trend before tropical really was probably dance pop, everything in between was considerably smaller. So, even if disco becomes a thing, it won't be that big.

Who is this everyone you speak of? 

2013-2015 was all trap, hip hop and tropical.

Daft Punk’s album was EDM but it was tailored to sound pseudo disco in order to get critical acclaim.

It's mostly the feel of the music.  When I first heard the chorus of Bad Romance I immediately told my friends "I'm glad to see disco's not dead".  Certainly, one characteristic of disco is the four-on-the-floor rhythm pattern, which is also in electronic dance music.  One reviewer said Bad Romance has a "power disco chorus".  I'm sure many will say Bad Romance is just electropop, but I personally hear that disco feel.  Compare with this famous disco song:

i feel like the songs mentioned are more of a funk rendition than disco, which are actually different and not as innerchangeBLE as people think. i think funk is a little more slick and seen as cool, so that calvin harris song he did with katy perry and pharell, or daft punks comeback from 2013.
