I don't know how Alejandro got that many views but the Born This Way video was definitely the opposite of GP-friendly.

Judas was controversial, too.

Born This Way (song) was just not Gaga enough for the GP, perhaps. And maybe the video, too. It was weird, but it did not have the shock factor like The Fame Monster videos. And maybe, just maybe, part of it was because it followed the Alejandro video which alienated Gaga from the GP.

Believe me, when I heard the song for the first time I said wait, this sounds like Express Yourself! I said that's nice, must be sample. But not, a few days later I learned that I was not the only one. That put me off, then the country version came out and that's the version I was listening that year. Also the video was too dark for my taste and I have seen it a few times only. Now that I don't believe in any religion it's easier for me to watch.
