I blame Jonas Åkerlund. The only thing Paparazzi and Telephone have in common is the Åkerlund videos, and that artistic move of his to use the words "To be continued..." has made the fan base suffer a collective psychosis ever since.

As Gertrude Stein put it:

"A song is a song is a song".

He clearly has a thing for those closing lines, he added "The End" in JW, but Telephone is certainly a continuation of Paparazzi. And didn't Gaga talk about Telephone part 2 herself?
