Yes. Very.

But also It flies under the radar until someone has a strong era that proves not only strong in concept but in publicity.

The last BIG eras were Prism and Lemonade the.

Gaga's last BIG era was BTW

Pop is always under the radar until shock pop makes a return too.

pop has been in a downward spiral in 2017. we need new music from just about everyone in 2018 to make up for it.

Gaga has been there the whole last year and it's not that she made it particularly "high brow" again. Joanne was incredibly personal and moving but nothing groundbreaking

Maybe between 2009 - 2014. Now, not so much. :triggered:

I feel like she's scared to do anything remotely shocking anymore.

gaga's last two albums have still made pop music low brow. She really needs to have a creative and ambitious era again if she wants to continue being a big influence in the industry. Ever since ARTPOP she has been scared to go full pop and try something cool

Kind of. She’s still one of those artists that people are looking forward to as she brings something different to give every time (mostly performance wise). But then again, pop music always adapts. Lately, pop music shifted to EDM then to hip-hop-ish sounds. A few outliers here and there, but mostly the former. It’s boring without Gaga (speaking as a fan) but for the gp not necessarily. The ushering of new upcoming megastars (e.g. Cardi B.) and the continued patronage for some (e.g. Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran) reveals that pop music adapts to whoever can provide the most appealing hits. It’s just the  cycle of things :lana:. Anyways, quality can still be found somewhere (not necessarilly in mainstream music)

It was kind of a good move in my opinion that she went for the Joanne concept as it stabilized her as the superstar that doesnt need to be trendy to stay relevant. :giggle:

I mean after her debut everyone literally took a little bit inspiration from her craziness and the GP is tired of the weird/crazy/shock factor.

But this time, if she does something conceptual and have good publicity like BTW, it will be huge.

(maybe a visual album because we know that she can do it but she wont :toofunny:)
