I loved her since "One Of The Boys" just simultaneously as I started stanning Gaga and this combined love won't ever stop. Although I kind of dislike most of "Witness" she still delivers it. It's riskier than her others, more focused (but still unfocused), and is more mature. The album is certainly no-worse than her previous efforts. That being said, she's still no where she should be as a singer. I hope her fifth album will be cohesive and really present her vision. In relation to what she said--that is why the music (or entertainment) industry is so brutal. You'll always have a peak, no matter how successful you remain. No one does that for Gaga on as grand of a scale. And I realize in being a fan of Lady Gaga that my negative opinion of Katy Perry is immediately rendered void but regardless I think shes genuinely fake and an incredibly boring public and pop figure. She contributes nothing to pop music and I think her continued relevance only takes away from more interesting acts that could dominate the airwaves and im not just talking Gaga. Katy is an example of a corporate pop star hogging radio time due to corrupt industry dealings. She was Lukes golden girl during his superstar producer reign and she reaped the benefits and now that his career is dead hopefully she just continues to trail off but I doubt it. Too many powerful people probably have stock in her name to allow her to fail. Seems like she can't win. you just made an issue out of nothing. i love Madonna, but its true that she has featured and worked with "it" artists as a way to stay hip. There's nothing wrong with it.
