I am not a fan Katy’s music but  - I do like her. She gave her fans videos and believed in the project.   I don’t think she’ll ever fully recover though and she cannot make bubblegum music forever

Thanks for the insights, Patty. How do I use this information now?

The universe is not testing you, Katy... the universe don't care about you or anybody in this world..

Music is simple, it's bad or good, if it's not good to the majority of the listeners, they don't buy it and this is what happened with Witness.. so instead of thinking about yourself as something so important to the universe, just throw away the bubblegum pop music, the meme jokes that are all over the place.. you want to be taken seriously? make a serious good music.. because actually, she can do it, her voice is nice to the ear, in many songs it's actually beautiful..

Honestly, I'm here for a really serious side of her, I want to see her breaking her own rules and her own safe zone..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Most female artists are in decline and her having the shittiest pop record any female had had last year did not help.

I don't see her being on top again tbh

Witness is the only listenable album of hers :awkney:

I know I've shaded Katy a lot on here throughout the years, but the way she has handled this era has really changed my opinion of her in a very positive way. She's persevered and kept her head, and I really hope her next album is a great one!

Going from two huge albums with multiple #1s to Witness must have been a big blow to her confidence. I kinda like her for addressing it.

in the strangest way, Katy's decline made me like her again, like I did during the One of The Boys era

A nice dose of humble pie is great, and will make her a more likable artist going forward.

I don’t really have that much experience with Katy in real life interviews and stuff, all I really know of her is the music (mainly the singles).

I don’t like all her music but she has put out some bops in the past. She does seem very manufactured though, like she’s not really in charge of the creative decisions, and she’s just a product.

I did watch about ten minutes of her on that witness live feed and she just seemed very out of place and off putting when she talks. It just doesn’t seem genuine but who knows.

I’m impartial to her.

Teenage Dream kinda ruined her. Because she became a children's act and people and critics don't take her too serious. With PRISM and Witness she wanted to go in a more mature direction. One worked, the other one didn't.

inb4 that's just my opinion
