AlexanderMagno 10,746
Oh my, so many theories the truth is, pop stars always try to market herself to the gay public. It's marketing strategy. It's a strong audience with one of the greatest buying power and it's a gateway to the general public. Gays define who's it.

Xoxo Adriana 15,040
also to answer this thread, majority of little monsters (aka little bottomsters) are gay because Gaga has been involved with the gay community since her debut. This iconic interview of her standing up to a homophobic interviewer won many gays over:

The experience, which I had in my country, was that women and girls gravitated more to male singers (who are sometimes closeted gays) rather then female. I'm glad that Gaga has the most different and colorful fanbase there is. Be that women, men, trans, gay, straight, bi, tattoed, pierced, young, old etc. people. Her music reaches everyone and I just love that. I've only stated my experience so far, which needn't be the case in every situation hahahah Don't worry, it's fine. Yes, it's true, females do gravitate more to male singers, which is a concept that's always puzzled me as most male artists don't sing music that I can relate to. Most of them sing about sex with women, so what is there to relate to? I suppose it's all well and good if the song is directed as the listener but it only works to me if I'm actually into the singer. I've said a few times now that one thing that I can't understand about my fellow women is how merely being attracted to a male singer is enough to make them buy his music, concert tickets and merchandise, yet they won't show the same degree of devotion to female artists who actually speak for them. Because you can bet your bottom dollar that you wouldn't find a straight man showing that degree of devotion towards a female artist for whom he merely finds hot. I think it's awesome that Gaga has fans of all ages too, I think it's a sign that she'll be around a long time as opposed to having a young fanbase who will inevitably outgrow her. 2 hours ago, Economy said: I've always been bi. But in the past it wasn't as balanced. I'd say my inclination for men was stronger than women so instead of calling myself "predominantly homosexual" I'd just say I was gay However it's kinda 50-50 now plus every since I got in a serious relationship with a woman I haven't played attention to men as much as before I didn't reassess it's just a little shift. A lot of my preferences and likes and dislikes have evolved over past 20 years (yes Im 24 turning 25 and first felt attraction at 5 years old and accidently discovered jacking off at 6 years old ) Hmm, very interesting. Sexuality does indeed exist on a spectrum. I know I've never considered my attraction to women to be so strong that I felt the need to call myself properly bi. Though in most cases, I can find women more attractive than men. But if I want men in every other way, then I can't be bi. It's a confusing emotion, so I feel for those who are even more erratic on the spectrum. And there's nothing weird about accidentally discovering masturbation. Guys usually start that stuff super early because of having to come into physical contact with their genitals multiple times a day when they pee. It's only natural that touching there would feel completely normal. It tends to take girls a lot longer to start experimenting with that stuff as we're taught to believe down there doesn't exist until we start menstruation. It's so weird, I'm one of the few girls who seemed to start all that stuff around 12/13, like a lot of teenage boys but most other women claim they didn't start experimenting until they were about 16 in some cases. No wonder there's no understanding between the sexes sometimes.

I could get multiple orgasms cuz I had no refractory period but I didn't know how to appreciate multiple orgasms at 6 cuz I didn't understand what it was I was experiencing. I just knew it felt good. I only learned about sex when I was 9 from an older friend. Now in my Province (Ontario) sex-ed starts in grade 2. When I was in school it started in grade 5 which was way too late Also the multiple orgasms ended when I was 11 - 12 and started releasing. Now if I want to last long I have to do edging. That's fun too tho I always wondered how female orgasms feel like. How different is the sensation. They say it lasts longer tho the downside is that it's harder to achieve
MillionMarkys 350
There were a lot of straight women at the concert on Thursday (I’m not making presumptions, they mentioned/were with their male partners). I think that it’s just largely the (mainly young) gay guys who mainly don’t have commitments of having a family who can follow her extensively like this online. But of course she does have a massive gay following. A lot of female singers do, but I think it’s because she actually genuinely seems like she cares. KingRedd 3,139
I once tried to understand how fandoms work and why people have majority of a certain type in it hahah no clue Beyonce probably has the most diverse fan base. MillionMarkys 350
I have to admit it did feel a bit um, unusual (not to offend anyone) when I met some girls/women who really loved Gaga. Everyone always says only the gays love Gaga and I guess I started to believe that it was. Usually I think of straight women as being fans of Beyonce/Katy Perry etc for someone reason. But that shows I’m stereotyping, and I hate it when people do it to me like when I came out and someone said ‘that explains the Gaga thing.’
MillionMarkys 350
I would love to know what the straight females think, do you think it’s a bit weird for you that there’s so many gay guys who like your fave?
Bradley 59,023
To be honest, I wished the fanbase had more straight fans. I don't exactly know why straight fans don't like dance music by female artists as much as gays do.
