Well she had 6 days off and was invited to the Grammys.... I dont think it was that big of a deal.

Whatever caused her pain is going on for much longer

Those 6 days off were planned because of the Grammys. At the time they reschedule the European dates, they didn’t know if Gaga would be nominated or even perform, but they clearly had high expectations for it.

Maybe because she wanted to give Joanne a one last performance (it was also very meaningful with the way she ended that midley with her as an angel) and probably she thought she will win one grammy because if u see the message that she wrote before that she really wanted that award

She probably have all the mentioned motivations to go

but you remember when we learned in 5F2 that it could be triggered by a stress/anxiety episode? Maybe the Grammys in that way didn’t help her condition:

-stressful to know whether or not you’ll win

-stressful to perform for the industry after a long time

-the anxiety and spiralling she might have gotten from not winning (insecurities took over)

i think her head got the best of her body :(

Cause that was a strategic move planned way ahead. During all the year Gaga was predicted to be nominated and even was one of the frontrunners for SOTY with some betting a surprise nod for AOTY. Her team knew she had chances. That's why they released just one week before the end of the Grammys elegibity period a documentary telling her process of making the album and the pain she was feeling.  And you can even say that's why she released Joanne one month after the elegibity period for 2017 ended so she didn't have to face Adele and had more chances to win. Yes, they plan this much. They had expectations on it as you can see by the one week gap announced back in OCTOBER (that she didn't do any other time in this leg) on her tour right in the Grammy week . Clearly it was meant to be the era closure.

However, when the nominations came she only had two nominations and not the big ones. Still, a good reason to attend. Then the Grammys invited her to perform and ofc she had to make Joanne that beautiful moment.

Even if she hadn't been nominated and wasn't invited to perform, her team and Gaga was ready for this move. It wasn't planned this month when she confirmed her performance. Just like the tour filming (which this one indeed seemed rushed but still with some planning time). She knew she couldn't go on anymore and arranged a quick recording in a not so known city (instead of bigger city like London and Paris where she also had two dates and probably were the concerts she originally planned to record) so the fans who couldn't got to attend had the chance to see it.

My point is, it wasn't the going to NYC and Grammy loss stress itself. The pain attacked her probably in the beginning of the month or the end of last year. But they did what was possible to go on and anticipated a tour filming so they could wrap the era in the possible conditions even if she had to cancel the final ones.

Maybe she doesn't want to let her condition stop her from living her life? Maybe just for that one night at the Grammys, she wanted to give a big middle finger to her pain, and enjoy hanging out with talented people and perform for the general public? Maybe she figured it's better to have a Grammys and 10 cancelled dates than no Grammys and 10 cancelled dates?

I fell down the stairs once as an actor.

General feeling of being tired doesn’t help her and we know that this can make pain worse (constant travelling).

Of course, but like others have said, she had a few days so it probably wasn’t so bad in actuality. But with that the performance wasn’t very physically grueling or one that required a lot of staging prep. Mostly just a sound check. So I could see her thinking that this was a good chance to honor Joanne, she may win and then also get to perform without it being too much a strain. If I were in that position t would seem a pretty easy choice tbh
