StrawberryBlond 14,819 Posted February 3, 2018 Share Posted February 3, 2018 I was there at the February 1st Birmingham show. I'd already been cancelled on before and I wanted this time to be good. I travelled just over 4 hours by train from Glasgow, stayed in a Travel Lodge for 3 nights and went to see her on the second night. She was awesome, you wouldn't think she was battling through anything. Those I was travelling with were going to Birmingham anyway on business and I came back alone, so they're still out there and said that "there's a lot of angry people around right now." I wouldn't be surprised if some locals couldn't make the dates in their cities considering it was during the week and maybe thought they'd travel an hour or 2 down to London for the weekend and see her there. Must be terrible to be cancelled twice. But she did say if she didn't finish the tour, she wouldn't be living up to her words. And this was a very expensive tour to put on and she needs to recoup the costs. I'm sure she'll find a way to reschedule just 10 more dates, however. It's not even 10 separate countries. 3 in the UK, 2 in France, 2 in Germany and then individual ones in Switzerland, Sweden and Denmark. Just 10 more and then she can relax. I'm sure her true fans will understand. I was really surprised at how sold out her show was, even with refunds available for cancellations. I wouldn't be surprised if her fans held on one last time. She's been so strong for us and now's the time to see how Vegas works out for her and what future touring will be like. Frankly, I don't care if she never dances again. One day you're ok, the next one you can't even get out of the bed. Is a unpredictable illness.
