I'm glad to see the empathy for his situation on here.

You guys who are expressing that are very insightful.

I've talked to multiple psychologist who have dealt with helping those who are attracted to underage populations.

That is the proper route to take.

i feel sorry for him

And I think people think that we also don’t feel sadness for the victims of it. But we do. Society is causing this and we need to find a solution rather than locking people up - it’s obviously not doing too much.

But the stigma is society’s fault do you not agree? YES it is society’s problems too - we can’t only rely on doctors.

Yes, but it's sexually abusing children, so I'm not surprised. Its not consensual. It's not legal. The child is too young to get anything but pain, as they haven't hit puberty. The child doesn't benefit at all and can actually be traumatized later on in life. This is a good "stigma" to have, no?

Being a pedophile itself is not child abuse. Acting on it is. Contributing to the distribution of child p0rn is because those children are being abused.

Yeah let’s just ignore treatment for a mental disorder and let them kill themselves rather than treating people and having them become productive members in society! *sarcasm*

Sorry but I won't cry for a pedophile although I would have preferred to see him in jail. He wouldn't have died if he hadn't acted like that. It's only sad for his family.

That's rude, no matter of what allegations he had, nobody deserved to die, people changes, most of them, and it's not even proven just yet if it's real or not, dont be rude on such serious topics as suicide.

It is proven tho :toofunny:

I get it - BUT it’s still a mental disorder just as something like aggressive behavior (like domestic abuse, violent behaviors, etc.). Does any of it benefit society? No. The behaviors also hurt people BUT will locking them up and doing no mental treatment really help them or society??

Maybe you should understand more about the psychology behind it. I’m not saying any of his actions are good/fine. But why not try to find the source of the problem and fix it? Rather than just laughing/cracking jokes about a suicide?

There was photo and video evidence on his computer. His ex-girlfriend turned him in after he showed it to her.

How very kind and compassionate of you :awkney:

Ya, it also wasn’t fair for the toddlers who were raped; I feel strong compassion for them, so much that it makes me physically ill to think of what those kids have went through. So no, I truthfully do not have ANY compassion for people who support the abuse of babies
