Well don't think that I don't feel sorry or have sorrow for the children. I think there needs to be a focus on them as well and speaking out if they ever experience this. Please don't think that I just am trying to make pedophilia a normal or good thing.

i find the comments about treatment here.. interesting. if you agree that there is no known treatment, maybe killing yourself is a legitimate course of action. Sacrifice yourself to avoid hurting others. could be an admirable way of handling a risk to kids.

The problem with pedophilia is that society knows that this is wrong but doesn't try hard enought to deal with it. Okay, pedophilia is illegal, there are laws and sentences for the perpertrator and society condemns such acts. But let's be real, does the state and by that I mean any state/country/society in the world try hard enough to rehabilitate them? No.

If you want to get rid of pedophilia related crime, you have to start with the root of the problem - the person itself. States should and must finance rehabilitation programmes, counseling, psychotherapy and similar, so that pedophiles get an adequate treatment and become responsible citizens, who are aware that pedophilia is bad and don't act on their urges.

Ofcourse, if someone is constantly getting in and out of jail for molesting children. He/She deserves to spend their life in jail, because there has not been any improvement.

So instead of yelling this is disgusting, horrendous. Try to help the victim, and the perpertrator so that it, like in this case, doesn't end in suicide. Justice must be served but with a fair and objective trial.

As someone who attempted suicide, I can't believe that someone actually cheers on someone's death. Everyone deserves to get help!

people act like killing yourself is the worst thing you can do. it's not. raping kids is worse. if you told me HE had that struggle, which I didn't see anyone say, but if he did, suicide is just about the only thing a predator could do to earn my actual respect. 

suicide makes him an instant victim of society's failures? maybe he was being proactive. maybe it was the right thing to do. maybe God loves him for it.

I don’t want to sound insensitive, but I wonder would there be so much discussion and compassion for this guy if he wasn’t famous, if he wasn’t an actor of your favorite series, if he was old anonymous pervert who looked like this

ever since i watched The Paedophile Next Door, i've fully supported the idea that those who feel they are attracted to children should be encouraged so seek help, no matter how they look  

i don't believe in the witch hunt mentality and a child abuser is a child abuser, they should be rehabilitated as well as punished for their crimes
