Umm... well throwing people in jail and letting them rot does what for society exactly?

What about if we provide prevention methods so victims and potential abusers don't do this in the future? I think of it as a system.

Also, seeing people say "thank god he killed himself." triggers my OCD and causes me distress. I have intrusive thoughts, false memories, and seeing people glad that he killed himself makes me terrified that maybe I did something like this (even though I haven't) and that I deserve to die.

How you say things affects MANY people. If you have criticisms, be aware that people with all types of mental disorders could be affected by it. Make the criticism effective not pointless.

What you described is fiction though. So unless you’re getting off to these movies/games etc about murder and violence, the two aren’t comparable.
