Fame IV 4,426
I can say it loud: I was born this way. I'm very sad at Gagadaily. Instead of discussing if "Born this way ruined Gaga"s career", we should discuss the impact this album made on youth. It made me a little monster back at February 2011, when I was feeling insecure, sad and alone. It was such an important moment on out lives, and that's what art is about. As Gaga said: "The nexus of 'Born This Way' and the soul of the record reside in this idea that you were not necessarily born in one moment (...) You have your entire life to birth yourself into becoming the ultimate potential vision that you see for you. Who you are when you come out of your mother's womb is not necessarily who you will become. 'Born This Way' says your birth is not finite, your birth is infinite." TheSlash 14,539
When she released BTW I already stanned her for like 2 years. But when I heard the song and later the album it gave me the strength to accept myself and don't give a d**n s**t about others' opinions about me . I so don't care about its commercial success - it gave me and other little monsters LIFE . /thread Ew, David!
FATCAT 59,293
One person came for BTW, and the rest of the thread is people shunning them. Believe me, BTW will not be underrated while I'm president. I can't be free if my hands are tied... 🧟♀️👰🏻
Babel 41,301
Agrih. Born This Way inspired a whole generation to stand up for themselves and love themselves for who they are. I was a fan way back the release of the album but BTW made me confirm that I was a fan of a true artist, one that uses her voice to speak out for those in need. It became a movement for those who needed a helping hand, included myself. Gaga indeed became the vehicle of that movement.
ordinarynam1310 2,453
I don't care if this album ruined her career or anything, all I know is, when I'm sad or alone or feel like giving up or feel left out and nobody believes in me or love me for who I am, I put on this record. It gave my strength on the hardest days of my live, and that's all the matter.

Doncho 27,241
BTW was my first complete era as a STAN. I didnt noticed it at the time, but it really helped me to gain confidence, to love others, be even more accepting, and be true to myself. It also helped me to be ok with my insecurities (for the most part). I remember in my last years of school looking at the mirror and hating myself for not being "cool" enough, or for having few friends, for being introvert. Thanks for everything Gaga! Miel 15,009
I honestly believe the album is a big factor as to why I am still here today. High school was incredibly difficult, and to have this album come out just after my freshman year was kind of a godsend. 3 points in and ready for more
