Regardless of how you feel, as a strong Hillary supporter in 2016, his message does resound with a very good chunk of this country. Ofc the climate is different now, and some of his wishes were always unrealistic, even if I and millions of others want someone as far left as him and with as much moral and political integrity as him. But, if there is a democrat who shows themselves to not just be a corporate shrill (Cory Booker especially, maybe even Kamala Harris tbh), that looks good on paper. They should be a progressive socially and economically, and has a base to energize along with experience, empathy, and conviction, etc. I will vote for them or support them in a heart beat. I honestly worry that Dems wiill try to play it safe (like usual) and support a very moderate candidate because they think they will beat Trump by appealing to some Republicans. However, Republicans are gonna run in 2020. Paul Ryan may even ****ing run (hes a literal monster, we can't let him win ) and essentially ANY Republican is better than Trump tbh. Dems would have a hard time trying to get the moderate vote from Repubs/Libs/whoever the hell else. I think they are better off continuing to appeal to (in earnest) Minorities, women, immigrants, AND working class blue collar folks (something Bernie unfortunately failed to do, and it is a big part of what cost him the nomination in 2016) and trying to pick up Independents like Bernie did. Even if those Independents were ****ing stupid enough to vote Trump over Hillary Bernie also helped contribute to her loss by helping to propagate low key sexist and overt lies about her character. People still think shes a monster and care about EMAILS However, Bernie has shown himself on many more occassions than not to be reasonable. I don't think he would seriously run if he felt it was becoming about "him" and not the country, or w hat he can do for the country. He had people coming out to vote for him who usually ignore elections completely(just like Obama and Trump.) I just hope he can recapture that momentum he had in the primaries. And Bernie is just 1 year older than Biden. People make Bernie's health into a huge deal; the man is active.
