Her Last top 10 on pop songs was in 2013....let that sink in. The cure didnt enter the top 40 on radio songs either. Joanne was a nice little era , and the tour is doing really well ...but she needs a new real hit. I know im here for a more commercial/ radio friendly era after Joanne.  More importantly a well and carefully planned era.

if it was for her fans Cheek 2 Cheek era would’ve never happened, making her release another EDM album right after ARTPOP featuring Redone full of BOPs!!11 that would’ve flopped miserably 

so yeah I may stick to her team decisions anyway

Going back to streaming issue. She's having really bad stats on kworb. Like she's in the top 100 of digital artist ranking, #56 and having 75 points from streaming, where people like Marshmello are having 900, not to mention the actual giants in streaming, like Drake or the redhead. They need to fix this if, and only IF they care about her further commercial success. If not, then it's fine by me. It's her choice and career. I love and respect her regardless.

Streaming does need work but that's been tested for the next cycle.

If MR had the streaming push that The Cure had then it would have been bigger.

The label aren't going to waste money pushing Joanne PV onto all the playlists.

I don’t think people are necessarily criticizing Joanne’s (single) streams but her overall streaming performance this era. I think we’re getting brave today because the end of the era is so close we can taste it.

We're talking in general, not about Joanne, the song. I believe no one here is this delusional to think the song could actually pull decent numbers. Again, we are talking in general.

I guess we all know down deep inside what is the reason behind it and we all know what mistakes were made back in 2011-2013, those mistakes are one of the reasons behind her poor streaming stats.

Throwback to when applause got 11M first day and almost beat that vevo record at the time and people still thought we were doing bad back then. 

She really needs to do a big push for LG6 lead video. Debut it on GMA again on screens all over new york. Let the video drop the same day as the song. No intros etc just the song made with a proffesional director and with a good story/visuals. I don't mind the simple visuals of joanne but the lead video atleast need to be epic and share worthy. She can do more simple videos for later singles/album tracks but she really needs to have one viral video again to make people notice her youtube account again.

 still my favourite Gaga video, I love her looks, the colours, and the imagery so much. F**k anyone who said it was doing bad (I mean compared to Brave 2.0 she was doing worse).

The only time we should meltdown (not even then), is when Gaga releases pop music made to be a hit and her streaming remains abysmal. Even then we can simply enjoy the music, she'll get the money from Vegas and touring anyway

It's a shame gaga had the to deal with troy and all the mess behind the scenes during ARTPOP. She actually did good with applause on the streaming side, it was huge when it debuted. It just didn't have the longitivity that many other videos and songs had from that year since yeah the era ended within half a year.

If the era had gone smooth like the joanne era she could have continued and had dwuw blow up with a good video,I think they could have gone with the video shoot, just delete all those cringy hospital scenes, wtf were they thinking. The video should been sexy but focus of the actual meaing of the song. and instead of going on a blackout mid era in 2014, release MANiCURE to the radio, it's one of the most cathy songs of the album and would done good on radio. Standard gaga video with just alot of dancing and outfits, didn't need much story, just be visual pleasing.

Then she should have released sexxx dreams ft rihanna as 4th single in the summer with video. Just do a video and maybe vma peformance but she would been on tour so no major promo. Release the ARTPOP film fall 2014 as a gift to the fans and send gypsy to radio along with tour/road video as last single when she finised of the tour. If all this had happen her streaming would still been fine and she could have took a break after ARTPOP and do everything like she did with tony, tributes etc but when she came back with joanne in 2016 her streaming would been alot stronger. 

Sorry for the rant 5 years later, but ARTPOP could really been huge. Both Applause and espcially DWUW was really liked by the gp and ARTPOP had other gp freindly songs on it. Troy just killed the era and her streaming power and it's frustating seeing this still having an effect 5 years later. Still glad gaga managed to come back though, many would not be able to like she did.
