Which song shocked the media more: Slave 4 You or Dirrty? Which was the song that came first? This answers everything.

Christina never got the credit she deserved from the media and was always overshadowed by Britney, this isn't news. That doesn't mean she was playing it safer than Brit, it actually means the opposite :laughga:

And the music videos comparison actually reinforce my point.

In what planet this is safer

than this? :laughga:

Christina was a responsible human being which is not very "risky".

Gaga was being a responsible human being too. Are you telling me that she hasn't being risky? :laughga:

Gaga wore a meat dress. She was a responsible human being but the media coverage did not reflect this.

I'm defending my opinion just like you. I'm not more evil than you for doing it :neyde:

But what you're trying to say is not true. The songs that you posted are by not famous (mainstream) artists so their music maybe is risky but they've got nothing big to lose. Christina was the IT girl in the early 2000's and to come out with an album like Stripped and to change 360 was a big risk. If any pop girl did this now her career would've ended faster than you can say ferrari but she did it anyway. Compare Genie in a Bottle with Dirrty or Fighter... She touched many relevant subjects (homophobia, abuse childhood, feminism, self acceptance, sex) at just the age of 21.

How? She then released one of her best albums In The Zone which produced her best song, Toxic which was a worlwide hit and she has had many hits since then even through her personal life.

Look at the sentence right after. Her music was not safer than Christina but her image was way raunchier.

Christina began to be risky with Bionic or Mi Reflejo (this album was released before Stripped)

???? Bionic wasn't really wasn't THAT risky sonically (but very controversial visually) and Mi Reflejo wasn't risky whatsoever. Bionic flopped mainly because somebody else was doing the same thing at the same time and people just liked the other person's take on it better and Mi Reflejo is literally an album that had no other purpose than being a quick lil commercial cash grab on her latinamerican fans when she still was under her old managment. That makes absolutely no sense. Next y'all got people out here arguing that Katy Perry did more for LGBT rights than Marsha P. Johnson. :duck:

Fire by the crazy world of Arthur Brown reached #2 un the US only held back by Hey Jude by the Beatles :ladyhaha:

Ghetto Supastar reached #15 in the US. The Lead singer was a former part of the super influential The Fugees
