Christina began to be risky with Bionic or Mi Reflejo (this album was released before Stripped) both risk barely payed of. In Bionic's case it more or less ended her career. If Bad Romance didn't came from the most well known celebrity in 2009 it would've flopped hard. Same for BTW. These records survived because Gaga had clout as entertainer. Hide contents Don't forget that Judas flopped pretty hard afterwards Christina Aguilera was kind of the Lady Gaga of the 2000s. she was known for being the less safe version of Britney bubblegum pop (kind of what Katy Perry is to Gaga). Stripped was a risky era for her, not only for the music but for the message she was trying to convey. She pulled all the strings possible. When Britney was just being safe sexy to what men considered acceptable, Christina was being raunchy and owning her sexual appeal, speaking out for the minorities (when no one was doing it), criticizing the church, etc.

Which was the song that came first? This answers everything. Britney career was always a trainwreck especially after Britney. She ****ed up her life, the world watched and laughed. Christina was a responsible human being which is not very "risky".

She then released one of her best albums In The Zone which produced her best song, Toxic which was a worlwide hit and she has had many hits since then even through her personal life.
