Radio only got on board with MR after the SB lol

MR only struggled so much on radio because radio poison came out before. Aka PI. She’s lucky PI didnt stop her from getting a hit at all during the era

I love PI as a song, but in hindsight it almost wiped out her entire era as a single.

Low key still think songs like Paparazzi and Alejandro have aged better than Million Reasons. All are hits so don’t be mad at me but ya know. The truth can sting.

Its also probably because we all had to listen to million reasons for half a year and nothing else :poot:

I never listen to songs like You and I either though, I’d listen to Applause before that, so maybe just my personal preference.

I hope Gaga never has a pop era that doesn’t have any hits at all/Top 10s. Now that she’s in her 30s i’m not expecting multiple hits per album, but one would be good so people know the albums exist

It struggled so much because it's not radio friendly, only after the SB it got a radio deal and radio decided to give it a chance because the song is actually good but let's be real.. MR is not a trendy sound. Gaga decided to support ha because she knew MR had the potential to get her a grammy.

I agree with you I was never even a huge million reasons fan even though I do like the song and yeah it used to be like at least the lead single by gaga will always do good so we don't have to worry about that but it's starting not to be that way I'm just glad million reasons eventually did end up working out

It was the radio friendliest song on the album though, it's a beautiful ballad with a strong chorus. There were several songs close to it played at radio at the same time as MR that got more radio spins. It's problem was mainly stations being unsure to play gaga after PI floping and MR doing bad on streaming. It was not the sound playing the most at radio at the time but i i don't think that was it's main problem.

It's also kind of scary because we won't have the superbowl for the next album and the only reason we got a top 10 hit from Joanne was because of it I love whatever gaga does but I hope she just puts at least one or 2 bops on her next album so there can at least be one hit on it and the rest of the songs she can do whatever she wants with

That's fair, but I will no longer tolerate the PI slander,  we'll  never truly know what could've been, gaga dropped ha like an unwanted child, and the flop  radio deal it got doesn't convince me.

eh don't worry to much. She released the cure randomly without any music video or promo and it still managed to go top 10 in AUS and top 20 in UK where joanne had really underpeformed. So as long as the she serves us a good song, a killer video and her team manges the promo on radio/streaming etc good then i don't think it will be that hard to get atleast a top 10 hit. Not as easy as back in 2008-2011 ofc but she should still manage it.

Tbh perfect illusion is my favorite song off of Joanne but I know that no matter what they did it would of helped the song yes I do think if they promoted it more it would of stayed in the hot 100 longer and (maybe) went up a position or two but I don't think it would of ever been a "hit" I honestly think pi is gonna be one of those gaga song that was ahead of its time Tbh like a lot of things she does is

sorry but electronic music will always age worse than any piano ballad so you are wrong

live each day like Gaga might drop an album
