Lorde, Katy, Miley all released. Gaga just happened to end up on top. 

Only one who was able to snatch at end of year was Taylor, but we all saw that coming.

I know right.

It's hard for fans, but I'm really glad she keeps opting to cancel/take advice of her doctor's rather than forcing it. Artists who keep pushing when they shouldn't end up with no nose or a bald head.

Maybe for her next album, Gaga should go more on the Beyonce route. Not necessarily with a surprise release, but do an album release with a lot of videos and then just do ~20-25 stadium dates across US/EU/Asia. Limited TV promo, no arena dates, no filming videos during the era. Less exciting for us, of course, but better for her health and makes sure she can complete the era.

The full traditional cycle a-la Joanne/BTW clearly doesn't work for her body anymore. It's not her fault, but better to learn and adjust than keep trying the same formula

I agree with this. She should plan the ERA ahead of the release.

It's crazy how 2017/2018 showed that even (as we thought)  untouchable artists are either underperforming for their standards, flopping or getting dragged by the media. It started with Katy and Miley flopping. Taylor underperforming with her singles compared to her previous era. Eminem flopping with his lead and Justin's new album/SBHT performance getting critical panned. 

This shows us that everyone will reach its lowpoint at some point.....

I've mentioned before that Gaga's team sucks when it comes to rolling out singles. Judas/TEOG, Aura/Sexxx Dreams/DWUW/etc, MR-AYO. Plus PI's rollout was terrible as well. 

Truthfully, in my honest opinion, I don't think Gaga has had a true hit since TEOG. Maybe MR, but I feel like the Super Bowl really pushed it. Gaga needs an organic hit.

WTF.... when will this fan base stop saying this. Sounds ridiculous. 

She performed it and people liked it. It's called promo and every artist does it to get a hit. Nothing organic there.

Not everything being performed at SB will become a hit.  MR clearly was lacking exposure before the Superbowl as radio would not have touched it. But the GP clearly loved it hence it reached #1 on iTunes mulltiple times. But a live performance is limited.... Radio is a much more powerful promo exposure.

I still get the feeling that Joanne (album) could have fared much better outside of the US if people would have known it. MR always got high at iTunes when it got sung in a talent show in my country. Then the album also got a big boost. Unfortunately MR wasn't played in the radio here in Austria...... They supported TC much more.....
