So, evidently, we're not the only ones clamoring over movie trailer release. There's an entire site dedicated to Film Data and Education research.

How far in advance are film trailers released?

Using data from my previous trailer database and publically available release data, I narrowed in on 1,000 movies released between 2000 and 2016, inclusive.  For each movie, I looked at the date its first online trailer was released and then compared that to the movie’s eventual US theatrical release date.

Across these films, the average time between first trailer and theatrical release was 126 days (i.e. around four months).  Fourth-fifths of movies had their first trailer released within six months of their theatrical run.  Only 4.5% of movies released their first trailer over a year before the movie appeared in cinemas.

There were significant differences by genre, with the earliest trailers being for movies aimed at families and traditionally expensive genres such as adventure and fantasy.  Animation films typically had their first trailer released 217 days before the movie was released, compared to just 101 days for romantic films.

Let me report y'all this thing. Boys Noise landed in Catania (Sicily, Italy) this morning.

This Italian little monster that works at the airport happened to meet him.

He asked him if it was true that Gaga had a single coming out soon and apparently Boys Noize replied it would have been Gaga herself to announce the release date.

I got this from PopJustice:

"(...) a lot of previous October releases by Warner also had their trailers released during the first weeks of May:

- Argo (10/12/12): first trailer released on May 8;
- Gravity (10/4/13): May 9;
- The Accountant (10/14/16): May 12;
- Blade Runner 2049 (10/6/17): May 8.

Not to mention there's a new Melissa McCarthy comedy being released on May 11, so it makes sense to premiere the trailer around that."

There's a huge possibility it's coming early next week, then.

I meant playing before the actual moviegoers at the cinemas.

I get it, but by "trailer release" everyone understands it as an online release.
