Kendrick Lamar. That album is considered on of the most critically acclimated albums ever and it still lost to Taylor.

My point exactly.

To Pimp a Butterfly was more acclaimed than 1989. Who won? The less acclaimed one.

Lemonade was more acclaimed than 25. Who won? 25.

Enlighten me then. If you're talking about split points, they still wouldn't cover the difference. Praying was bigger on radio, on streaming, the only metric that MR wins is pure sales which is the least relevant metric

It's a long story but summed up, MR went recurrent (the song stops gaining points) like three weeks after the SB. It would have charted many more weeks and gathered more points. MR would have many more but it spent 20 weeks on chart.

Also MR sold a lot during many weeks that it wasn't charting (which doesn't add any point towards year end chart).

Also it had a couple of weeks (debut weeks) for 2016 year end chart.

MR: 270M
Praying:110M

So in total MR is approaching 500M streams across YT and Spotify while Praying is looking to crawl to 300M? Surely she’ll close the 200M gap according to @Joanne Monster

Also MR did better WW, it doesn't matter really for the grammys but still, it's not like praying had any impact outside US. MR might have been a moderate at most in europe etc, but tell me anywhere where praying was big expect US :triggered:

The point is that it doesn't matter, at all. I think Gaga is one of the best performers in the industry right now. But that doesn't mean anything in regards to what awards she wins for specific songs and albums.

You really think someone is casting their ballot for a category and bases their vote on a performance that someone gave three years ago?

This is called gratitude. I’m not saying that Gaga must win 100%, but if Kesha wins over her i would be disappointed (considering all this series of reasons). But then again if the Grammys wouldn’t have used Gaga so much in the last years, i wouldn’t give a f—k if she loses.
