Because Kesha apologists can’t just admit that her impending win is because of MeToo. It’s not that hard to admit. All the facts are there. Pop Solo is the ONLY category that has had a pattern of Top 2 hit winners. No other Grammy category has had such an obvious and apparent pattern.

Obviously it would be relevant to her win. I'm not sure why it's being spoken about as though it's a bad thing.

She turned a deeply personal and harrowing experience into a powerful song that she shared with the world and started a conversation. Idk why people are acting like that's a small feat. Not only did she make a song about that, the song was well crafted and well received.

To dismiss it like that is wrong, imo.

6 months vs 15 month. Really?

Both songs are dead. You’re acting like Praying is Top 10 and obviously gonna overcome a nearly 40,000,000 streaming gap when its not being streamed.

Omg :rip:

I'm not saying she's kissing ass. She's snatching promotional opportunities, as she should.

You were citing her previous performances and her image being used in marketing material for the Grammys as reason for them to award her. It shouldn't be.

It shouldn’t be? Do you think that anyone out there at Gaga’s place would have executed those better to bring ratings, visuals and show to the Grammys? I don’t think so, but nevermind, we have different points of view.

Kendrick Lamar. That album is considered on of the most critically acclimated albums ever and it still lost to Taylor.

The point is that it doesn't matter, at all. I think Gaga is one of the best performers in the industry right now. But that doesn't mean anything in regards to what awards she wins for specific songs and albums.

You really think someone is casting their ballot for a category and bases their vote on a performance that someone gave three years ago?

Kesha did not start a conversation.

This movement blew up and Kesha was never at the forefront of it. Hell even Time thought Taylor Swift was more important to the movement than Kesha. The GP does not and will never associate the movement with her. At least until The Grammys saw they can have a whole MeToo moment during the show and use Praying.
