I don’t get the vibe of his coming album. I love Filthy, but not Supplies. (There is no cohesion). :oprah:

And those brrrrr’s and anoying sounds?! :saladga:

Keep it funky and poppy JT, that is what you do best.

There seems to be no sign of intelligent life anywhere

this.

his initial video announcing the album showed visuals that completely have nothing to do with the sound and vibe of the first two singles. The critics will attack the album for this lack of cohesion.

Filthy was more dance-pop

Supplies had more of a hip-hop vibe

and I'm sure that song with Chris Stapleton will be some kind of country/folk thing

he wishes. Applause was a hit and DWUW a moderate one; CTTR was a hit too. Filthy & Supplies are both flopping.

He can only pull a Joanne / MR and save the era with the Super Bowl. The difference is, MR was a grower and, whenever exposed to the GP, it did amazing (as proved). Supplies isn't suffering the same fate

it

seems

that

karma

is

real

If you count The 20/20 Experience Part 2, or whatever it was called, yeah, I completely forget about it. But I count The Fame Monster as a seperate album and ARTPOP as Gaga's 4th, so I guess I should rethink my categorising. The Fame and 20/20 Part 2 are EPs, aren't they? :saladga:

Just classify it as "fourth era" lol

I agree. The visuals do not match. The two songs so far lack melody and any familiarity with what he has put out. His first two solo albums were modern, and current style songs, but did not lack melody, and were highly singable. I hope he releases better. I can't stand when Singers have stratospheric success, than branch way off of their original concepts or brands(JT, Miley, Gaga)- Though Gaga's experimental "Joanne" is high quality branching, lol.

When I first found out he was doing the halftime, I initially thought no matter how mediocre it would be, he would get FAR more attention, critical acclaim and praise than Gaga (who worked her ass off, rehearsed like crazy, was very involved in every detail, slayed her choreo, vocals, and piano, jumped from the roof, and even caught a football).

However, it seems the media has not been kind to "privileged white artists". And most of JT's hate stems from this very event due to nipplegate. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he is basically ridiculed. He will literally be up there, invited again despite what happened last time, while Janet is sitting at home. I think the media is gonna go IN on him.

Honestly if I'm his management, I wouldn't have got him this gig. The writing was on the wall with how the media is reacting to Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. And JT is an even bigger enemy for what he did to Janet.

It's his ARTPOP / Witness era. At least Gaga and Katy got top 5 hits

Watch his sales blast through the roof after the Superbowl halftime show.
