Y'all making fun of his noodle dancing, so gifable and funny that it's cute.

He was likely nervous since it's his first time performing the songs.

Can someone please explain to me why he's being attacked? I'm reading like a bunch of different reasons and I'm so confused :air::air:

Some say it's him being neverous, others say it's his twinkness, some say it's his meh vocals, others say it's his noodle dancing, some say it's his 'feminity", others say it's the failing economy.

It was a bad performance. He literally embraces most of the things members criticize in other performers but I guess he gets a pass because he’s liked :rip:

The performance isn’t that bad. The song is very Troye Sivan, but not Troye Sivan single material.

I have always loved Troye before he made it on to mainstream radio and acclaim. This just happened to be one of his weakest performance.

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

It wasn't a good performance but it's his first so  Plenty more opportunities to impress I'm sure.

His vocal on My My My wasn't great. He sounded weak. And the dancing kinda turn me off.

And the other song, he sounded fine. I'm like Okay, it's not bad. Until he start that awkward moves again. I'm like NOOOOOO...... STOPPPPP!!!!

I'm gonna sticks to listening to his album and stop watching his live performance, because I really love The Good Side.

So basically the attack is about how he sounded?

I love him tbh and his latest stage presence may not resonate with everyone so I understand, but I understand where the backlash is coming from, his vocals were pretty off :S Still stanning though, anyone can have a bad performance, sadly his was at SNL...

Rewatched it. Stand by my statement. Also, The Good Side was fine. Decent vocals, from a decent vocalist. Better than My My My.

Some of yall are doing the most. No one called him the next coming of Pop music or anything here, Troye isn't getting a pass because of his white male privilege, it just wasn't that bad of a performance :ladyhaha: I don't even have to like the guy to say that. He makes good music, but isn't making music that is very vocally challenging, as he doesn't have the chops to do that. This isn't even a gendered thing, there's nothing wrong with that. Look at Selena. Ofc some people are always going to be pressed petty individuals who would talk **** on X pop star for mediocre vocals on any performance and compare them to their fave. Those people aren't worth anyone's time :gum: People who are also lowkey judging him for his femininity and trying to blame it on his "Vocals" alone are also not worth anyone's time. Your internalized homophobia isn't cute.

The really sad part is that a few tweets immediately after the performance do not constitute "twitter" or even social media. There's like no major press coverage saying that this performance was atrocious or anything.  This is not Lana Del Rey 2012 :emma: We're literally arguing over nothing.

If it were Taylor’s or Katy’s or Timberlakes’s performance, you’d be dragging them to the pits of hell, but since it’s Troye and he’s gay, he’s incredible and out of this world. There’s nothing special about him. Tell you what? His voice is weak, the performance was mediocre, he doesn’t have enough stage presence, his dancing moves were embarrassing and the reason he isn’t as popular as Shawn or Justin Bieber is because he doesn’t have the X factor, nor he has good vocal abilities. Look at Camila Cabello- she has what it takes to put on a great show, he’s far from it, sadly! I cringed at his moves and it’s not my cup of tea. I am a gay man myself and don’t y’all come for me! I am entitled to my own opinion, just like you’re entitled to yours.

Everyone here drags Timberlake even if he is just breathing
