What happened with artists being grateful over the nominations they've received? 

I'm sure that the Grammys wanted to incorporate more diversity in their nominations for the sake of minorities being represented. With that being said, his music is mediocre and had no cultural impact whatsoever so he should be grateful for the two nominations he received—especially since there was other artists who were more deserving of being nominated in the categories he was nominated in (such as Lorde).

He probably would have been nominated if the grammys weren't afraid of controversy (which is a big fat L O L already) I don't see the salt everyone's speaking of in this statement lol It's just a run-down of what happened. I seriously can't with this site sometimes.

he's nominated sis, he's just not nominated in the big categories. He's probably talking about nominations for black people and womens, and, in this particular year, they're not being nominated just for the sake of it. Quality matches those nominations. It's not Ed's case, given his album has received awful critiques.

But to be that entitled to think that the Grammy's owe him anything is repulsive. He should be grateful for the nominations he got.

Yeah shape of you really had 0 impact except being the most streamed song of the year what a flop who is he even why is he nominated?? what the heck? Not like radio spammed it up and down the whole year or anything nah... A whole bunch of Song and Record of the year nominees had no "cultural impact"... yet they are nominated... 

I need to just learn to stay away from these threads lol there is no point in trying to be reasonable here when it comes to certain people

Seems like he's trying to paint himself as the underdog. So tacky how he's making it seem like the entire system has turned against him. Since when was being nominated for two Grammys such an offence?

Call me crazy but I feel as if he's implying that he didn't get nominated as much as he allegedly should've because he's white and the Grammys want to please minorities because of what happened to other award ceremonies such as the Oscars.
