I haven't listen to the entire thing since the November it came out. Lets not talk about that mess that is the Never Let Me Go video. Gravy?!?!? Really?!? Landslide is still flawless though.

1) Never Let Me Go (the song) is godly though :crossed: Made me cry. The first time I cried over a song

2) Gravy? What? EDIT: Oh you mean that black stuff. I still have no idea what that is :wtf:

I watched the behind the scenes video...the black stuff was cold gravy..... The song is beautiful and it should of gotten a beautiful video.

I root for you. I love you. You, you, you, you.

Oh. Eww. Yeah I was disappointed when the video premiered. I was expecting something Art Deco inspired and something grand, similar to the Shake It Out video :/

Yeah, as a whole, Ceremonials was a very heavy and dense album. It was impossible for me to listen to the whole CD in one go. But the first four songs on Ceremonials are absolutely flawless :legend:

I like the big and heavy sound of Ceremonials when the album came out. I was very impressed, but after awhile it worn out and I gave it a break. Now I'm listening to it again, it's like a spiritual experience :legend:

 I agree. When Ceremonials first came out I thought that it completely dwarfed Lungs with its gigantic sound. Now this very sound drains me in a way; the songs are quite formulaic and essentially follow the same pattern. I even feel like a lot of songs on Ceremonials are sort of 'generic', not in a derogatory sense, in a Florence sense, if that makes any sense :teehee: It becomes tedious after a while is what I'm saying. Hence why when I decided to listen to Lungs again I was blown away by how fresh and 'all-round' the sound was. So much beautiful variety, yet all unmistakably Florence.

I like to compare Ceremonials to the kind of music you'd listen to before a war to get your blood pumping, and Lungs would be played when you're having a pagan/Wiccan ceremony (how ironic :giggle:).

Sigh. Florence. :flutter:

Not in love with this director's music videos. Sweet Nothing and Lover to Lover lack uniqueness and emotion. And the cinematography is like he's shooting an educational video.

Princess Zelda

Never Let Me Go had more potential musically :creep:. I mean, the lyrics are flawless as are her vocals, but the music is so dull. It's just piano and basic drums. It should have got, like, strings and a smarter piano, to be honest :creep:.

Lover to Lover is like Sweet Nothing Part 2. I love it. The new version of the track sounds good too :flutter:

Edit: pretty sure the same director directed both of those videos.
