raginchristians 736 Posted January 9, 2018 Share Posted January 9, 2018 please dont start commenting what you think her most average song is ok this is a place of SCIENCE trust me So I randomly got the idea of finding out what Gaga's most average song is, as so clearly shown by the title so settle in, because Dr. Raginchristians is about to put 12 years of schooling to GREAT use In order to find this, I'll be analysing two variables; title length & BPM due to the fact that these two have define numerical values. As well as this, some limits will be set on the songs analysed. Nothing from Cheek to Cheek (these songs are a bit out of left field from her regular discography, resulting in skewed results), and only songs from her 5 studio albums (meaning The Cure won't be included, as well as Gaga's best song: Chillin' by Wale ). However, I will be using the deluxe versions of her albums, as found on Spotify. also I didn't include the Angel Down Work Tape cause I didn't feel like it ok fight me So to start off, I collected a list of songs which will be used, which you can see below if you really wanna read that for whatever reason Spoiler Just Dance LoveGame Paparazzi Poker Face Eh, Eh (NEICS) Beautiful, Dirty, Rich The Fame Money Honey Starstruck Boys Boys Boys Paper Gangsta Brown Eyes I Like It Rough Summerboy Disco Heaven Bad Romance Alejandro Monster Speechless Dance In The Dark Telephone So Happy I Could Die Teeth Marry The Night Born This Way Government Hooker Judas Americano Hair ScheiBe Bloody Mary BJ + AF Bad Kids Fashion Of His Love Highway Unicorn (RTL) Heavy Metal Lover Electric Chapel The Queen You And I The Edge Of Glory Aura Venus G.U.Y. Song BPM. So I went through, used the wonders of the internet and painstakingly looked up and recorded the BPMs for each of the songs listed above, after which I averaged them out in order to find the median BPM of Gaga's songs. Not the point of this thread, but just so we have some actual results now and y'all don't zone out here's Gaga's albums listed from fastest to slowest Spoiler Slowest -> Fastest 5) The Fame Monster - 115.9 BPM 4) The Fame - 121.1 BPM 3) ARTPOP - 122.6 BPM 2) Born This Way - 125.5 BPM 1) Joanne - 134.6 BPM (truly faster than you can say Ferrari ) So after about 0.4 seconds of calculations, the average BPM was found to be 124.2. Let's remember that for later. Onto title length! Some rules for this section: capitalisation won't come into play, but individual symbols such as full stops, commas and brackets will. That means ARTPOP (song) and G.U.Y. will both be counted as 6 characters long. Just like last time, here's Gaga's albums from shortest titles to longest because why not Spoiler Shortest -> Longest Titles 5) ARTPOP - 7.6 characters 4) The Fame Monster - 10 characters 3) Joanne - 10.8 characters 2) The Fame - 11.5 characters 1) Born This Way - 12 characters (are we surprised this is #1 with Highway Unicorn existing ) So with that comes the average song length for all of Gaga's albums, which is 10.4 characters. Now onto the actual results! I started off by eliminating any song with a BPM out of the range 120-129. I kept some 119's in there, but they got eliminated real soon after. Outside of 9-11 characters? Gone. Outside of 124-125 BPM? GONE And what songs were left? These three. I present to you, Gaga's most average songs!
