Which album do you think has aged the best and stood the test of time?

Personally, I think BTW is her most timeless album. I would never listen to songs like TEOG, MTN, Bloody Mary, HML and Scheisse and think "oh that sounds so 2011". They sound fresh, fun, sexy and edgy, like the immortal pop masterpieces they are.

I think The Fame and The Fame Monster, on the other hand, sounds very dated now. That's not to say they're not great albums (of course they are), but the heavy electro sounds, auto-tune, and 'party vibes' feel very 2009 to me.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

I thought this said which has aged the most and was so confused about being the only one to choose the Fame.

I think currently BTW is definitely the answer, but after Joanne has actual time to age it will become the best aged.

that boy that boy that boy that boy that boy That Boy THAT BOY is a MONSTER

The Fame, it's a pop classic with hit after hit of perfection.

Born This Way comes in second with ARTPOP last.

All of them except half of The Fame :laughga:

I think at this point even Poker Face and Just Dance sound dated. I don't know if it's just because they've been performed a billion times, but they sound like relics from a bygone era.

Born This Way, definitely. Not only for being so conceptually cohesive, I think the sound is much much more timeless. Maybe because it was hugely inspired by classic pop rock sounds and because at the same time it has a really heavy production, with lots of sounds and plays with structures, that end up not being connected with any year. It is the only album I've listened for the first time after a few months and it still blew my mind.

The Fame sounds dated. So does ARTPOP. As for The Fame Monster, dated is not the best way to describe it, but I wouldn't put a "timeless" sticker on it. It's just very well done, and you are never tired of listening to it, but it's just not as bold as it was back then. Born This Way is forever bold.

Bold. That's it, Born This Way is the boldest.

As for Joanne, give it one more year. But nowadays, it gets boring half-way through. Also, it was never "bold", so I don't think it will age that gracefully.

ARTPOP is gonna age the worst, with Joanne most likely to age the best. BTW, TF and TFM are mixed. Certain songs will age well, and others won't it really depends on their production.

I think Joanne will definitely age better than the majority of her albums, except for BTW. Country/rock/Americana are the main influences of Joanne and those genres never really change, whereas pop changes constantly. So I wouldn't be surprised if Joanne sounds timeless in years to come. The problem with Joanne is it has hardly any replay value.

Given time, I think Joanne will be her album that ages the best.

Currently, I would have to say Born This Way though :unicorn:

Born This Way is the correct answer! TFM is a close second, plus I think Joanne will age decently too.
