This is literally another case of “selective reading” just so you can irrationally bitch and moan. You can simply download various apps to check your CPU frequency and I guarantee it’ll be fine. Anyone that has every had an iPhone for more than a year knows it slows down with every yearly big update . I'm just so surprised that so many people are shocked by this news. My iPhone 7 Plus has started to have issues the moment I downloaded iOS 11, and continues to have problems with every new update. From apps freezing, to lagging, and the battery is starting to die faster and faster. I've always admired some of my peers who have managed to stick it out with their older iPhones because I get so frustrated I end up upgrading every 2 years. I mean I guess Apple should have inclosed these details, but I am not surprised at all once they finally admitted to it. Like duh, I been knew! Like duh, I been knew! i have an iPhone 7, since i force restarted it ios 11.2. performs way better and battery too ! hold volume down and sleep/shut buttons for 10 sec ! Phones crash because of memory/RAM issues. Slowing down is processor related. A phone will crash on a new OS occasionally regardless of processor throttling. Everyone in the industry uses Li ion batteries. Batteries still noticeably deteriorate, so they're not achieving much other than slowing phones down. I've even noticed that major software updates on my Microsoft Surface seem to slowly but surely drain my battery and slow down the machine. It's not JUST Apple. I hope that the lawsuit highlights the issue and hopefully encourages them to use better quality batteries and to place limits on how much software updates can affect battery life and the quality of use. I’m talking about the operating system isolated from the physical components. iOS is faster and more efficient than Android. It’s a fact. Google it. If you compare a 1000$ Android with a 1000$ iPhone X you will notice the difference. iOS runs its native code in C. That code is generated by an optimising compiler (not a VM or a JIT compiler like in Android). The perk of the JIT compiler is that it supports different architectures.
