Meredith Grey 3,147
I feel like with a role like this they should cast someone famous but not someone expected. Someone said Rihanna and i thought that was a really good idea that hasn’t been done before. There are so many badass ladies in Hollywood.

Even if it isn’t your absolute favorite, it’s hard to deny how far it technically soars above the others (except you could also argue Batman Begins). It’s got an outstanding script, great score, is very well-acted, shot well, and carries across a point for existing beyond being a requisite sequel or being a moneymaker. It has something to say. In terms of entertainment value, that’s totally subjective, and I’m sure others enjoyed other films more. But breaking it down and assessing it on its components, it does everything very well. The only thing I think hinders it a bit is that it could have been edited a little more tightly as it felt a little long towards the last act. Even that is a great final act that isn’t suddenly about saving the world/universe/galaxy or some other blown up finale. It maintains its scope while pushing at the boundaries. Wow I agree with a lot of what you said it is honestly one of the best but Batman isn’t my favorite superhero so I can’t say it’s the best personally (SMHC is for me ) but it definitely is a great film nonetheless. Totally understandable. It’s a very dour film. If that isn’t really your thing then of course it won’t be your favorite. I’m sure Spider-Man is more “fun” (haven’t seen it). TDK is far from a fun movie or easy entertainment; you have to be in the mood for that like all Nolan movies. Different strokes for different blokes! Happy you enjoy Spider-Man as much as you do! Yes you made many valid points in regards to TDK. I definitely respect the film, I think for me though, the Tim Burton ones will always be close to my heart, but like you said “different strokes!” SMHC is an awesome film, maybe my favorite Spider-Man film so far. I was a big fan of the Raimi series (first two specifically) but more because of the style, not the actors. Tom Holland is hands down the best Spider-Man they’ve chosen. I think Christian Bale was probably my favorite Bruce Wayne, but the movies themselves were just decent to me (BB and TDKR). I did enjoy the middle of the trilogy. I do stand by my opinion that the only reason it was so hugely praised as much as it was was because Heath Ledger died, but I digress. Looking forward to a Nightwing movie

I actually own TDK on Blu-ray lol I watch it every now and then like you said when I’m in the mood but I think it’s one of the best trilogies ever. You should watch Spider-Man . You should watch Spider-Man . I sort of want to. I didn't because I was mega peeved about seeing Peter Parker again since I've liked Miles Morales more since they introduced him. Plus, it felt weird to me that Feige was saying all the diverse second-tier cast members are a result of Peter's neighborhood being like that. That's true, but then why not just go with Miles? So that's my gripe. But then also I was seeing a lot of other movies I had wanted to see around then so was broke af lol Tell me, is it distinctive? Because I feel like many of the Marvel movies as of late, don't really have many distinguishing features about them. They feel kind of same-y which doesn't give me a lot of reason to spend $10+ to see them.
