People forget that The Fame literally changed everything, everything in 2009/2010 clearly had been influenced by her from sound to fashion and gradually more singers started actually performing live instead of lipsyncing. People became more conscious of writing their own songs etc, making better videos etc it was just a really cool time. :sis:

Ur right but that doesn’t make up for the complete lack of quality and creativity the album exhibits :gaycat:

i know that the quality isn't the best but it was pretty good for 2008 and it was her first album.

I was a stan since i saw her performing just dance live back then, it was MAGICAL i swear, she was on fire and hustled like nobody, every country every radio station, every awards show, real hard work and iconic performances, she had so much drive and passion, not to mention that her whole aura/looks were so misterious and sexy.

That album/era is the reason why after all these dissapointments im still a stan.

I became a Little Monster since Bad Romance, TFM really took the world. It was amazing, spectacular and incredible being a Little Monster during TFM and the pre-BTW era.

Yeah but the album aged poorly and it’s impossible to sit through the entire album. That’s why it’s my least favorite album of hers.

I so wish that I stanned back then. I was in my whole "I only listen to real music, not all the electronic crap...puts in Fleetwood Mac/Bob Dylan CD" phase. :laughga:

I saw the light though. Though TF isn't my favorite album of hers, its like a classic...

Yeah, well I dont think it was the album that catapulted her to fame but the other way around. I think that her being the most popular talked-about celebrity led to sales instead of the music being so good she got famous. So when you think of it that way, The Fame's success makes more sense. But its still an iconic album.

I'm so greatful i was still using myspace cause thats where i first heard Poker Face. gret.gif Then i heard Just Dance, Paparazzi, etc and im like who is this bitch? She was just cooler than anyone else instantly at that point. I used to stan Britney and we all know what happened during Circus era it was a timely replacement for me. :reductive:

There can be 99 bottoms in the area but all it takes is 1 top to believe in you.

I know, in fact i rarely listen to it but you gotta admit it’s an important album.
