JohnWayne97 550
Of course it wasn't a hit, but here in Brazil it took gaga backs on radio.. and I think the same thing occurred over the world
Wixson 5,004
Some of the other artists would have peaked in top 20 with its sales, so yes.
A Hybrid 11,049
Haven't heard of it in the radio here but it played on an episode of The Gifted which made me happy... But it not being a hit doesn't mean that it wasn't successful. The studio obviously spent so little money on The Cure, it didn't even get a video so I'm pretty sure they made a lot of money from it. It's not Gaga coming back for the throne, it's Gaga having something for 2017. It works tbh. No family’s safe when I sashay
just another gay 836
It is a hit among my friends because I did more promo for TC than gags did lolllll jk
androiduser 7,438
a moderate minor hit that didn't get a chance to develop further because Gaga and the label didn't promote it or shoot a video, and the interest in the song wasn't big enough to make the song stand on it own. For whatever reason, it's a minor hit and nothing more.

For a song with no promo at all (except one random performance months after it was released) and no music video, it did alright. It also really helped her spotify numbers, where it will reach 200 million streams early next year. Overall it was a nice surprise release that did moderately well. Didn't it peak at 39 in first week? Love it when you call me legs In the morning, buy me eggs

OT: It did okay in the U.S. and good in the U.K. and Australia. It also helped her streaming a lot so there’s also that to thank The Cure for

PunkTheFunk 124,469
The Cure received next to no promotion other than being in a Spotify playlist for a few days, and it still outpeaked Bon Appetit on the Hot 100 And BA was an official single that received television promotion and a video with hundreds of millions of Youtube views In that respect, it did outstandingly well. But calling it a hit would be a stretch.
