Was 'The Cure' a success?

So I was going through Apple Music's 'Best of 2017' playlist, and although it's not near the high end of the playlist, right near the bottom is our lil baby 'The Cure'!

And it got me thinking - was TC a hit? If it wasn't, was it at least a success? Will it be part of Gaga's tour setlist in the future, will people listen to it in years time and be like 'oh, I remember this!'?

considering that it had absolutely no promo besides Coachella (and a single televised performance at the AMAs months later) it did very well

it was her first radio hit in ages in the UK / Australia, but it's performance on US radio was a disappointment (it peaked at #48).

For a song with no promo at all (except one random performance months after it was released) and no music video, it did alright. It also really helped her spotify numbers, where it will reach 200 million streams early next year.

Overall it was a nice surprise release that did moderately well.

I can't imagine how 2017 would look like without The Cure tbh.

It's literally a hymn about the love of Mother Monster & Little Monsters community 

It was a buzz single but it really warmed my heart and I'm sure she will keep it in her future performances because she knows how much it means to us and for her 

And it fulfilled the gap which would exist between Million Reasons and LG6 lead single because I'm sure she hadn't any plans to release more singles off Joanne after John Wayne standalone music video with ''The End'' caption

The Cure could be her biggest worldwide hit since The Masterpiece of Glory. Like Slay what u want.

But it's a cute hit in the US, in Australia and in Uk. She had her biggest radio hit since 2011 there ! (Uk, australia)

It had so much radio play here in the UK with 0 promo, the GP loved it like DWUW

it did ok streaming wise, but i woudnt call it a 'hit' . it did ok in the US, and good in the UK and Australia

It's elegible for platinum SPS in the US. It was bigger than MR outside the US in countries like Australia and UK.

I think it just isn't memorable but it did good
