Moderates will vote for Luther Strange instead of voting for Roy Moore, not instead of voting for Doug Jones Write-ins siphon votes from Moore, not Jones. These models rely on that assumption, it's a pretty safe one to make. It wasn't long before I realised how wrong I was though I know I should be "glad" that it's at least close... but... I'm not though... Hopefully Jones pulls through Here is an interesting thought while we ponder over the results so far and see so many people ready to support a man with multiple accusers (some underage) accusing him of sexual assault. Lets imagine the shoe was on the other foot. If your choice was between a Democrat who was: Pro-Choice Pro-Universal Healthcare Pro-Gun Control Concerned about Climate Change Supportive of LGBTQ rights Supportive of BLM/Black America etc. And a Republican who was: Pro-Life Anti-Obamacare Anti-Immigration Anti-Gun Control Climate Change Denier Supportive of anti-LGBTQ legislation Anti-BLM/ supports policy that disenfranchises African Americans. etc. BUT the Democrat candidate had the same allegations against him as Roy Moore does in this election. Who would you vote for?
