Luc 4,776
@Economy not taxed here, the ban on weed is just not enforced which means that it can't be taxed and growing weed is a crime (more than 5 plants outside of balcony/garden is iirc). Weed is formally illegal in all of Europe afaik. In the Netherlands in 1970 they decided punishing for small usage wasn't necessary I guess. This does make weed dirty (no regulatory control, so filled with pesticides and stuff), cause a black market and criminality, lots of police capacity to spot illegal pot plantations as well as half of house fires being caused by weed plantation (the lamps and heat)... Progressive parties want to legalize weed (.. and ecstacy) completely to raise tax revenue, ensure consumer safety and decrease the illegal circuit and they're going to experiment with that in a few municipalities here the coming years, but they will probably make the govt weed too weak which means people will still buy normal, dirty weed... Woolfsmck 2,763
It makes total sense to me. Law enforcent can spend more resources on black market smugglers who also sell worse drugs too. Plus regular people who have a crminal record just because they smoked a Doobie aren't scarred for life anymore. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

I think they said past convictions wouldnt come off your record If you smoke it before itds legal you broke the law and thus its on your record although small amounts is decriminalized and ud only pay a fine. Its “criminal” if you hold large amounts or are a distributer
