thatfoxyfeeling 13,017
He has a point though, it’s like Bad Romance never got #1 but is more iconic than Tik Tok. I’d rather people know my music, not be someone like Beck who has won AOTY and people just say who?
djBuffoon 12,123
See, this is why Gaga has such a tremendous attitude. Charts and awards are lovely, and she always expressed gratitude when things like that happen for her. But it seems like the work and music are the main thrill for her, and she never apologizes for what she's created. "Maybe it's not my year." That sounds like a defeatist to me, Ed. Are you proud of the music or not?

Doot 2
3 hours ago, Thomas P said: Back when divide first came out he said something like “I’m gonna make the music I know people will like, because I don’t want to be an artist that goes up my own ass trying to be different, then only being able to find relevancy on the Super Bowl” I can’t remember exactly though. Since then Monsters have had a vendetta against him (also because he was so successful this year, and LMs hate whoever’s relevant no matter what). im not his biggest fan but I don’t despise him. I don’t get why they’re all being so mean here. He obviously was one of the front runners for the major three, so I was SHOCKED when he was shut out. I think he handled this brilliantly, and people calling him a crybaby....he gave a gracious statement you fools. Omg Monsters themselves talk **** about Gaga on a consistent basis. They can be so hypocritical. Ed Sheeran makes great music and is extremely talented. Hating on someone because god forbid they may not like Lady Gaga is so incredibly lame. Are you proud of the music or not? I don't really agree with this. Gaga has always chased chart success and awards, only when things started taking a less positive turn around ARTPOP, that's when her tune changed. Remember the 'I write for the music not the charts' tweet!? Well, she really doesn't -- when she is promoting or aiming for a nomination of something, she actively campaigns for it. And I don't really agree with this. Gaga had a lot to say about ARTPOP and its creation, but she never apologized for or took back what she created, no matter how ugly the reception was. And in spite of losing a number of major Grammy's, and being almost continuously snubbed, she's always shown generosity and class towards the process.
