I know many people of Muslim background wish Yugoslavian times would be back, because people didn’t hate each other as much for having different religion and ethnicity. They had mixed marriages in many areas. That period is a bit romanticized tho, it wasn’t that great. Same like Soviet Union, POC used to feel safe there to work and study, but not after it fell apart. There were other issues tho. To solve the hatreds, u have to be part of it. Asking one side to stop the hatred but the side you're on did nothing wouldn't solve the issue at all.
