Well... Dua Lipa is kinda rising so... :gum:  NEW RULES its her BOMT/JD and as zodiac signs: Leo/Sag/Aries, Dua is Leo... so the history is repeating itself once again :gum:

I honestly hope not. I’m glad she’s finding success but if I have one more pos tell me to listen to Dua ****ing Lipa, I’m going to lose it. 8 times this month. And I have listened once and felt like there was really nothing that stood out as different or new. Again, wish her all the success in the world, but for my sanity I hope she’s never as exposed as Gaga or Britney or Madge because then the gays will be relentless in getting me to like her music. It was the same thing with Rita Ora or Cardi B. I just want to be left in peace.

To the OP, idk if you could say Gaga’s came in threes...I mean, she had JD, Poker Face, Paparazzi, LoveGame, Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro, TEOG, Applause and BTW. Those were all top 10 hits and globally did well. Idk if the threes rule really applies here. Now she has MR as well but after a string of misses. Gaga is a little less of a nice fit here imo

Gaga needs a mega hit that will revive her career.

Million Reasons was cute.

The Cure is a nice bop.

But she has to release a career difining song i know she can do that she still has IT.

I like tons of music, seriously. I listen to things from Frank Zappa to Kendrick Lamar to Debussy to Gaga. By no means am I being some pretentious stan. Music’s great! (Love Fiona Apple and Björk btw) I just simply thought her music was fine but I get so annoyed when people keep telling me to listen to an artist. It’s okay if we don’t all love the same shizz! It really is only particularly annoying because they also usually condescendingly insult my musical taste in the process saying, like, “oh...you like *old* music” :awkney:

I didn't really mean that all of them only had 3 hits at that time, bc all 3 of them did have a lot of moderate hits at the time but they all achieved 3 really iconic songs that will probably be remembered for decades to come in a similar way, which I thought was interesting. Like Britney had Crazy, Lucky, Stronger, Slave 4 U, Everytime etc. but those 3 really stood out as her most iconic, same goes with Madonna

EXCUSE ME but did you forget about Like A Virgin and Hung Up, Ray of Light? Hung Up literally has the Guinness World record for being Number 1 in the most countries simultaneously!

Madonna is DEFINITELY not a "they come in threes" gurl.

...thats not what I meant

I in no way think Gaga, Britney, or Madonna only have these 3 hits, but I just thought it was interesting how 3 of their most iconic songs came in similar patterns as each other, I don't think that these are their only 3 iconic songs...

Then this theory kinda doesn't make sense with these examples.

Idk I just thought that she is pretty well remembered for Vogue, Like a Prayer, and Express Yourself, even though she's had equally iconic songs later on (like Britney with Womanizer/Gimme More/Circus/Till the World Ends) its kind of interesting how she's had such huge career defining songs in ways that Britney and Gaga had too
