That's what I was thinking about the Joanne era and here we are. We may have to accept that Gaga won't have any more success in the singles department but I think her albums sales will be her main strength from now on.

The Joanne era would've had hits if Gaga didn't do literally everything possible to stop herself from getting hits. I get the idea from the release of "The Cure" that Gaga's team is starting to realize that Gaga can't just live off her past success forever.

And honestly it seems so ridiculous for her to live off her past success that only lasted 3 years (2009-2010-2011) :toofunny:

Exactly, at least Britney has hits from 1999-2011 (debately 2013).

Gaga is about to celebrate her careers tenth anniversary. When Britney's career was turning 10, she released Womanizer, one of her biggest hits.

Lmao I just love how we both stan Britney & Gaga, I was gonna bring up Britney but you already did :selena:

But let's not forget Britney had more success in terms of singles after 10 years, I mean it took her 10 years to get a second #1 and then she had 3 others (one in 2009 and two in 2011).

So let's just hope Gaga has a second golden age in her career like Britney had.

Britney's singles were still hits even if their chart peaks didn't reflect it tho. Many of her songs 1999-2003 are iconic and still known to this day. If she wasn't banned from radio, her BB peaks would better reflect her singles success.

But yeah, I agree that hopefully Gaga gets a second golden age.
