I'm really not surprised by this announcement at all. Honestly, if she had continued to with such serious/socially and politically conscious themes on the next album like she did on BTW it would begin to get a little much. I'm glad she had such a strong album that was so far outside of what typical pop stars ever do and that she was brave and strong enough to say the things she did on BTW. It was groundbreaking in many ways. But that being said I think TF and TFM are the same way, even if their themes are less serious than that of BTWs. "Less mature" in Gaga terms, in my opinion, means that she is just exploring less serious topics. I mean lets be honest TF is a "fun" album, but even that album isn't generic and has more of an underlying message then most pop albums today have. Even on TFM, which is still a more "less mature/responsible" album than BTW for the most part, she got pretty deep in some of the videos, lyrics, etc. I'm sure the work on the next album will still be deeper and more though provoking than stuff Nicki Minaj or Rihanna puts out, but still have an element of fun and all together less preachy.

Before I rant a little I just want to say I'm aware this is just your opinion. I'm not trying to attack it in any way.

I quoted this because I think a lot of people have this same notion about BTW, which to me, just isn't right. I don't think BTW was a bad effort. Sure it wasn't 'The Fame' but why re-create something you already created? (Sidenote: If she ever goes back to her TF days, musically or image wise, I would be a little disappointed because it wouldn't feel like she's trying to progress. It would feel like a regress) With BTW, It felt like a completely new era (whereas TFM seemed like a continuation for TF). I'm so sick of people ****ting on BTW and saying "make it less inspirational etc. I never got that message when hearing the album. Besides the songs BTW and Hair, which other songs were 'inspirational'? Lol. People run with everything Gaga says and then they use it against her. BTW was NOT an inspirational album. It had at most 3 inspirational tracks (if you include MTN which is actually HER personal testimony).

I guess I'm rumbling now, but in short I don't want her to go back to "Paparazzi'. Don't get me wrong, that song is ****ing epic but she already made it and it would be lame if she tried to do it again. I'm here for good Pop music. If she were to ever follow the latest trends that would be a huge disappointment.

I agree.

Though, I kind of wish she'd delve with the topics from BTW even heavier (specifically the politics), or even the whole psychological reality/fantasy delusion topics, but maybe that would be too much for a lot of people.

3 points in and ready for more

This is going to slay our lifes.

And stop, inmature and not responsible is not the same that cheap lyrics with cheap music... You can talk about party saying "before I leave brush my teeth with the bottle of jack!" or saying "tonight bring all your friends because a group does it better, why river with a pair? let's have a full house of leather" so... stop complaining.

Hmm....i don't know quite what she means when she says the album will be a lot more "immature"... But it sounds to me like she's gonna try to go back to The Fame era and sing about nothing expect partying, s-x, and getting drunk/high. :fat: There's enough of that in the music industry already. The group "LMFAO" exists! :wtf:

I liked how her albums kept getting more mature. I know a lot of people complain that BTW was too "preachy"... I don't find it overly preachy at all. Not every song was about loving yourself, like Hair and Born This Way was. She had some good self empowerment songs mixed in with scandalous R rated songs like Government Hooker...

And just because a song has a serious message, doesn't mean it can't be fun and catchy...

I don't know where she is going with all this, cause Princess Die and all the themes she has hinted at for the next album sound very serious and mature....

Next era will feature Gaga selling out, telling all her little monsters that she doesn't care about them and a song about coke use.

jk. I hope the songs are catchy though... imagine if she had another Bad Romance moment. :excited2:

For some stupid reason a lot of you assume that "less mature" = generic.

Is Heavy Metal Lover mature? No. Is it ****ing awesome? Yes.
