Just wanted to ask: what does Nelly flopping have anything to do with her statement? Are you trying to say that only people as successful as Taylor are allowed to have valid criticism of her? I’m so confused, because you keep looping back to that same exact argument as if it had any relevenacy to the topic at hand? :duck:

Like I get it, you’re a huge Taylor fan, and that’s great and all, but why do you have to blindly attack any and all individuals who have any form of criticism of Taylor? Why can’t people be allowed to not like her and point out certain things that bug them about her? I’m legit so confused lol because it’s not like any of this is hurting her sales or affecting your life personally :emma:

I mean, isn't that how Taylor acts? None can call her out on her bullshit or else she's gonna sue them or write a petty song about them. Also she's a marketing genius, not an artist, so it's no surprise her fans judge others based on sales lol.

A MUSICAL ARTIST IS NOT OBLIGATED TO TAKE POLITICAL STANCES- and Taylor is by far not the only one to to not do so. Why aren’t y’all going after All the other pop stars who chose not to be into politics? Most don’t. It’s pathetic to keep targeting Taylor just because y’all are mad that she is the most successful. PATHETIC.

Because Tay is doing her own thing, minding her own business while this irrelevant is shading her. As long as Tay isn’t harming anyone why feel the need to attack her? Last time I checked Tay is an artist, meaning her job is to release songs, she never claimed to be mother theresa, nor is she supposed to be. :lolly:

Please name these pop queens that don't say anything. Cause every single one I can think of HAS said something (Miley, KP, Gaga, Demi, Rihanna, etc. etc.)

We can go further back if you want... the GOATs ALL used their platforms... Michael Jackson, Madonna, and on and on...

Taylor is not a musical "artist." She's a businesswoman.

Taylor writes and produces/coproduction the songs on all her albums, she plays multiple instruments on all her albums. She is the vocals on all her albums. She has more of a musical hand in all her albums then most of the artist you listed. So you explain to me how she isn’t a musical artist.

A true artist lends his/her voice to the issues of their time. Taylor will not be remembered like Gaga will. You can count on it.

Poor Taylor being dragged to the pits just because she didn't urge voters to vote for Hillary :cryga:

No one is saying that. We're saying that she has said NOTHING about all the crazy **** happening in the world. She could be speaking out on gun control, on sexual assault, on the refugee crisis, on so many issues. She's not.

She won a sexual assault lawsuit  she gave kesha a generous donation to help her pay legal fees... I mean actions speak louder than words and let's be honest she's being crucified for not uttering the words "fuc*k Trump"  it all comes down to that...i bet the world would be a better place right now  if she had said it......... because the opinion from millionaire celebrities like katy perry and swift is what we need :toofunny:

Because she isn’t obligated to. She doesn’t have to. This a free country. You can say as much or as little as you want. We don’t judge people on their musical or artistic integrity or merit, based on how vocal they are about politics. Just face it- this is another reason people chose to obsessively hate on her. It’s crazy. If you don’t like her, don’t buy her album. Listen to your faves. Admire them for their political involvement. Taylor is a pop star, not a politician. If she chooses to me more vocal then cool- that’s her right. But it’s also her right to chose not to let politics draw attention from her music(which is why she is in the business in the first place.)

Exactly. People pick and chose to hear what they want to hear. They want so bad for Taylor to be the enemy. It’s weird.

How significant are album sales in the grand scheme of things though? But hey, if that's the only thing you and your fave has to offer, go on.
