My guess as how the season will end: 1. The apocalypse is Cordelia's vision, and even though we're having flashbacks they'll show were it all went wrong and they'll fix it. 2. The apocalypse is real and Mallory will fight Michael, when she wins the whole world will still be in an apocalypse, but since she has the power to resurrect people and animals she'll "heal" the world having to sacrifice herself, since it requires a big power.
