I can already see alt righters stroking each other's bigotry fueled generalizations to completion :green:

Hey, one democrat out of 300+ mass shootings and suddenly it's the left's fault that there are so many gun deaths in this country. I would be shocked if they didn't use this against us :laughga:

That's why I'm so against violence towards these people. Their beliefs are messed up, the person they follow is a complete idiot who already has the blood of thousands on his hands, but don't give them the satisfaction of being able to claim a martyr :nails: If you can't just be civil towards them just to be an adult, do it because we only have something to benefit from it. Be nice to Trump supporters. It spites the hell out of them :giggle:

I'm a pacifist. I don't promote or condone violence, nor do I wish it on anyone, so its awful this happened to her.

That being said, I still disagree vehemently with Blaire White's beliefs and think shes definitely part of the problem and knowingly contributes to the culture war we're currently experiencing for the sake of celebrity and a platform :smh:

And theres also a good chance that this will be seen as evidence that anti-trump protestors, BLM, Anti-fa, etc. are the real criminal menace in America, which is just false :rip:

Are we really going to pretend that BLM as a movement is actually just those individuals? Or that those individuals being disgusting people means that the entire movement is unworthy, and police brutality shouldn't be challenged by the people it affects disproportionately? :gum:

BLM is not the "real" criminal menace in America, not by a long shot :rip:

Calling her part of the problem for speaking her opinion, no matter how abrasive, but not calling out individuals that are a part of BLM for deliberately putting her life at risk and forcing her to go on the down low as a means of political intimidation is wrong, so...

I hardly see why Blaire's rhetoric is even worth mentioning while violence from the left is unspoken of without prompting.

Tommy said (and I agree) that she shouldn't have been attacked if she was merely sharing an opinion. Just because she was attacked by one outlier doesn't mean that we automatically have to support her and her arguments or that they are proven in any way to be true. We all know each party has its share of crazies.

Edit: I should specify that her politics was brought into it in the first place because we all know she is going to take this and run with it for as long as she can drag it out (spoiler: it's indefinitely)

What was she doing there other than with the intention to provoke? I mean, wearing a Trump hat while going to an anti-Trump protest.... was she expecting to have a good time?

This tho :giggle:

While what I think Blaire did was stupid, it pales in comparison to the stupidity of those who attacked her. If you meet someone you don’t agree with, attacking them is the worst thing you could do, because it will only cause more separation. If these people really wanted to make a change, they would engage in a discussion, rather than resorting to violence.

At the end of the video when someone threw alcohol at her, she was literally just standing talking to a camera while wearing the hat. What the **** did that person think would happen, that Blaire and her viewers would see the attack and think “wow, why do they hate us? Maybe we should change”. No, that will only make her viewers hate the left more.

Violence is never the answer in scenarios like this. And to everyone in this thread saying she deserved it, you’re only making things worse for yourself.

Let's cut the crap. There's no clear consensus on when it okay to hurt someone. Some are saying it should be reserved for when they commit a crime like murder or assault, while others say its entirely not okay unless its consensual (looking at you, kinky monsters). But we can almost all agree that expressing opinions is no reason to cause harm onto someone. At least, that's what we'd say in public, and perhaps what we even tell ourselves. But we do know that inflammatory opinions can enrage people and even make them forget themselves. It in these moments, especially in an environment where there is a "them vs us" mentality in the air, its easy to imagine violence when "they" are provoking "us". Does that make it acceptable? Socially, no, not at all. But, it does satisfy a baser urge. That's why you'll see many monsters reacting with humor or lack of sympathy. Internet anonymity allows them to show their baser, more primal side because they don't care if you judge them, they're just some words on a screen to you. Of course, I recognize many of the members here, and some of you might recognize me, so its less anonymous than say 4chan.

Anyhow, my point is it shouldn't be surprising to anyone that people in this thread are responding with lack of sympathy and even schadenfreude towards Blair White for this incident. She's a toxic personality in many people's eyes. (That doesn't need to be defended, she's aware that she riles people up.) The internet is a wonderful tool that can bring many people to one place to share ideas and opinions, but that's also it's poison. People are more likely to show their true colors online.

Personally? I think Blair is a **** with a capital C. After my explanation above, does it matter if I say she didn't deserve to be harmed? (To clarify, no, I don't believe that any harm should have come to her. But are my words to be believed because I actually mean them or that's just what I'm expected to say?)
