We didn't see what happened before, as it was conveniently edited out, but evidently the guy's MAGA hat was supposedly pulled off his head from someone on the truck bed. (doesn't seem like this was violent?) When it landed on the ground, some protestor started stomping it and this girl stuck her hand down there to get the stupid hat. Then, a cop was right there to hand the hat back to her and others stepped in to make sure nothing got out of hand. I'm sorry her finger was hurt, but it was far from some violent attack situation. Most people will recognise you from the thing you wear. Hence military and sports teams have their own uniforms, colors, logo, insignia, etc. And for many, the red cap with MAGA on it have been symbolic to racist and bigoted movement and groups since Trump use it for his presidential campaign. What did she expect to happen when she wear that on a rally from the opposing movement?! They will surely take it as mockery, an attack, since many liberals seems very displeased with how things are now. And perhaps people just get more violent too.
