Thoughs on Katy Perry

I like KP's early work like the heartbreaking "Lost" or "The One That Got Away" and to this day she's got my deepest respect for everything she achieved, even tho for me personally she's not that relevant musically these days, tbh  . TS on the other hand released some pretty decent music recently I can really see me bopping around to, but I couldn't care less about TS as a person - no sympathies from my side  .

I like that Taylor writes all her own stuff so that already makes me like her better than Katy as an artist, even if Katy has a few bops written by other people.

Meh, Katy is no better than TS for the “speaking stiffs for their own benefits” part.  We see how KP was pandering to LGBT community earlier this year when she was #WOKE. Not to expose the community to the mainstream, but rather aa props for her visuals or whatever. We don’t need that kind of garbage in 2017. Or how she got those equality awards which she is not deserving for.

At least Taylor not gonna passive aggresive about it when she got an issues with somebody. She is not gonna tweeting shadily like KP did to Gaga so many times before.  And I know for sure it grinds Gaga’s gear too hence she tweeted those green hair stuffs back at her.

That is another point,  Taylor never have issues with Gaga. And matter of fact Gaga finds her sincere. The type who doesn’t talk shxt behind your back. 

 

Oh also, Taylor have her own gig, not the sell out that you think she is, she didn’t try to be a Lady Gaga cosplayer that another name in this discussion does many time over.

And Taylor music is way mature than KP’s. Her 10 Grammies prove that exactly.

Yes, I don’t like Katy since she left her One Of the Boys era. Her vibe is just so wrong. 

And during Kesha incident with DR Luke blew out. KP did not say nothing, zero, nada, to give supprt to her. And you know what Taylor did? She donated cash to kesha, and always welcoming and answers when Kesha called her for moral support.

Lowkey i see Taylor using more the lgbt than Katy, yes Katy did bad with Ur so Gay and I Kissed a Girl but she grew up, i mean a lot of her fandom is gay, at least she has spoken about it and support the cause while Taylor always is so shy about those kind of subjects which makes me think she doesnt speak about it because she doesnt agree with it but she doesnt want to damage her reputation/clean image, thats why you will never see her doing a statement about any subject, shes just gonna shut and stay clean

Bad Blood was passive-agressive, didnt she had a fight with Nicki Minaj? also passive agressive, Kanye.. passive agressive, gurl, Taylor's always been passiveagressive playing a victim role, another reason why i cant relate with her, i just dont like that kind of personality always blaming others/playing the victim card

3. Grammys mean ****, Bey cant write to save her life and still have a lot of Grammys, Bjork is A MA ZING and she always have snubbed, im Glad Grammys always praise Gagz but that really means nothing, Britney has a Grammy and lets be real, she cant even sing, im was also always a Katy detractor i still dont like her, but i see her as Gagz enemy, her dark side, she completes Gaga in a weird way, like a said, like Batman and Joker complete each other, i still rather her lol

Katy > Taylor, Katy is more bold, takes more chances, works with more ppl, have more diversity, whatever

I guess so, but some need more help than others and have less Grammys. But Grammys aside, the Witness era is the perfect exemplar that Katy is just the sum of her team. Her team made bad choices this era and she completely crumbled because there was nothing there to hold her up as an artist.

true, thats why we stan Gagz, we always knew the force of Kety was her team, if Gaga had them the ARTPOP era would been so different tbh

I agree. Gaga is the complete package as the artist, but I guess her team are ... okay. Taylor (although I like her as an artist too), a lot of the times, I actually stan her amazing team who I think are the best in the industry.

No, Bad Blood is not passive agressive. It is a bold calling out that tells “you did this to me and here I am one up on you!” 

Taylor is an artist, she writes music, so if she want to say something, she did it the way she knows best; writing a song 

 

Grammys means major shxt indeed. At least as far as mainstream music concerned. It makes you taken seriously as an artist. The only people who say and thinks it means nothing are people who never get one or their faves never get one, but wishes to! And Beyonce is a legend, she can sing very well and that is her talent. Who cares she didn’t write her own music, neither Cher writes her own. That iconic song within the gay community, Believe, was written over 6 years, got 6 song writers to doctor it, and about 3 producers to rework it just to make it a sure mega hit for her. Neither Whitney Houston writes her songs. And look where these ladies are. An icon. Upper echelon. They can sing. They can act. They still have talent. Just like Beyoncé.

And these legends have Grammies too, just like Taylor and Beyoncé.

Major problem rn is that everyone has speak about social problems, Janet did it, Madonna did it, Gaga did it, Katy did it, im not asking for political/hippie music u know? Isnt it weird Taylor never speaks about anything that hasnt to do with her or benefit her? it gives the impression she just doesnt care about anything but herself and thats a turn off for me sorry

Mostly of her lyrics are related to 12 yrs old break ups so...

And no, i stan TripHop and i dont see my faves winning Grammys just because its not mainstream, even some mainstream artists arent recognize if they dont seel well even if the music is great, VMAS and Grammys rn are more of a popular contest where u can win if youre popular no matter if your music sucks, i really dont take Grammys so seriously, i dont choose the music i listen for the Grammys won by the artist, Beeyonce is an example, super overrated and the music is average for me so...
